Job description

CNC Machinist

For over 75 years Cascade Pump has been a leader in Low Lift high volume Industrial water pump manufacturing. We are looking for a CNC Machinist to program and operate horizontal and vertical Lathes for production of large industrial water pump parts.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Modify existing programs for custom parts
  • Write programs for new machines and new processes
  • Fixturing design and setup
  • Tooling selection and management
  • Manage CNC program catalog
  • Run Production Parts
  • Inspect parts to print
  • Communicate machine and manufacturing issues with management.
  • Promote and practice Quality Awareness and Quality Culture within the Machine department.

Skills Required:

  • G-Code programming experience
  • Use of precision measuring equipment
  • Willingness to run production parts
  • Conceptual skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to read Blueprints and understand GD&T
  • Basic math and algebra
  • Experience machining castings and fabrications
  • Knowledge of parametric and macro-B programming
  • Multi axis/ Y axis programming with live tooling experience
