Lead Global Security Operations in a 24/7 Environment
Information Network Associates, Inc. (INA) is seeking an experienced and strategic Global Watch Desk Manager to lead our 24/7 intelligence monitoring and analytical operations. This position is ideal for professionals with backgrounds in open-source intelligence (OSINT), threat intelligence, intelligence analysis, geopolitical risk, investigative research, security intelligence, and watch center operations.
The successful candidate will oversee a team responsible for collecting, analyzing, and disseminating intelligence from open sources and other available information streams to support client awareness, risk mitigation, and decision-making. This role combines leadership, operational management, and hands-on analytical expertise.
Leadership & Operations
  • Lead and manage a 24/7 Global Watch Desk team responsible for monitoring worldwide security incidents.
  • Provide oversight during critical incidents and coordinate response efforts across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely escalation of incidents and effective communication with leadership and security partners.
  • Serve as an after-hours resource and provide on-call support as needed.
  • Maintain operational readiness by managing staffing, scheduling, and coverage requirements.
Intelligence & Incident Management
  • Oversee security incident monitoring, response, and traveler wellness checks.
  • Conduct and supervise open-source intelligence (OSINT) research and analysis.
  • Develop intelligence products and executive-level communications regarding emerging threats and security events.
  • Partner with threat management and security teams to identify, assess, and mitigate risks.
Process Improvement & Quality Assurance
  • Develop, document, and enhance Watch Desk procedures, workflows, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Lead post-incident reviews and implement lessons learned.
  • Ensure consistent, accurate, and professional intelligence reporting.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and operational efficiency.
  • Work with internal IT partners to maintain and enhance the team's workflow management database, ensuring reliability, usability, and data integrity, and develop tools for other needs.
  • Be intimately familiar with all vendor platforms and encourage team members to use the most appropriate tools for each operational objective
  • Provide after-hours on-call support and serve as a resource for Watch Officers requesting guidance on incidents and input triage
Team Leadership & Development
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and develop Watch Officers.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, analytical rigor, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with training, certifications, and company policies.
Education, Experience and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience, Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in intelligence, security operations, threat monitoring, emergency management, or a related field.
  • Experience working in 24/7 or mission-critical operational environments.
  • Experience managing security operations centers, intelligence watch centers, or global security teams.
  • Knowledge of international affairs, geopolitical risks, and global security environments.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with incident management systems, OSINT tools, and security intelligence platforms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to manage high-pressure situations with professionalism and sound judgment.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
