Job Summary:

The Jr. Watch Operator role involves real-time monitoring and operational support for mission-critical systems, ensuring continuous situational awareness and incident escalation. This position offers hands-on experience in watch operations, contributing to the reliability and security of enterprise systems.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor operational systems, dashboards, and alerts to ensure continuous availability and performance.
• Detect and escalate anomalies, outages, or security incidents in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation of events, actions taken, and system status updates.
• Support incident triage and coordinate with technical teams for timely resolution.
• Provide situational awareness updates and briefings to leadership during operational events.
• Participate in shift handovers to ensure continuity of operations across watch teams.
• Assist in refining operational procedures and contributing to process improvements.
• Operate within a 24/7 shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Master’s degree and 1 year of relevant experience with demonstrated expertise; OR Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience with demonstrated expertise; OR No degree and 4 years of relevant experience with demonstrated expertise.
• Experience with operational monitoring tools, dashboards, or incident management systems.
• Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 operational environment.
• Familiarity with standard incident response and escalation procedures.
• Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with adjudicated polygraph
Preferred:
• Experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC), Security Operations Center (SOC), or similar watch-floor environment.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure components (servers, networks, cloud services) and their operational dependencies.
• Exposure to cybersecurity principles and practices in an operational setting
