Position: Temp Hole Watches for Confined Space

Duration: Start Sept. 8th, 2026 - for approx. one week - Day & Night Shifts

Start Sept. 21st, 2026 - for approx. one month - Day Shifts, but possibly turn into night

Location: Anderson, CA

Shift Times: 12 hour days, night and day shifts

Pay: $18.00 Per Hour

12 hour days, night and day shifts

$18.00 hr. - these positions do not pay sub

1 hour mandatory site specific on-line training before arriving to job site. Wewill provide the

link for the training. Hole Watches will have confined space / hole watch training when they arrive

at the job site.

Job Description:

We are looking for two (2) Hole Watches for confined space work who are familiar with an industrial job site setting.

Duties will include, but not limited to hole watch for confined space entries and laborer duties. Candidates

must be able to work in a safe manner and follow instructions. Must be physically fit and be to work on time. Lots of

standing, walking, moving and busy work.

Hole Watch / Confined Space Attendant

Job Summary

The Hole Watch is responsible for monitoring workers entering and working in confined spaces or other designated areas where continuous observation is required. The Hole Watch serves as an important safety position and must remain alert, maintain communication with workers, monitor conditions, and immediately initiate emergency procedures when necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Remain stationed outside the confined space or designated work area for the entire duration of the operation.
• Maintain continuous visual, verbal, or radio communication with employees inside the space.
• Monitor personnel entering and exiting the confined space and maintain an accurate entry/exit log when required.
• Monitor atmospheric testing results and immediately report unsafe conditions.
• Recognize hazards associated with confined-space operations, including oxygen deficiency, toxic gases, flammable atmospheres, and changing site conditions.
• Prevent unauthorized personnel from entering the confined space.
• Maintain constant awareness of workers' conditions and activities.
• Immediately notify the entry supervisor and/or rescue personnel of an emergency or dangerous condition.
• Do not enter the confined space to perform a rescue. Follow the site's established emergency and rescue procedures.
• Assist with setup and maintenance of barricades, signage, ventilation equipment, communication equipment, and other safety controls.
• Ensure required permits and safety procedures are being followed.
• Stop work and notify supervision when conditions become unsafe.
• Follow all OSHA, company, and project-specific safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by site supervision.

Qualifications

• Previous construction, industrial, manufacturing, or confined-space experience preferred.
• Ability to remain alert and attentive for extended periods.
• Ability to communicate clearly with workers and supervisors.
• Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to hazardous conditions.
• Basic understanding of confined-space safety requirements.
• Ability to work outdoors and in industrial/construction environments.
• Must be dependable and safety-conscious.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.

Preferred Certifications / Training

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
• Confined Space Awareness/Entry training
• Authorized Attendant / Hole Watch training
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred
• Site-specific safety orientation as required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods.
• Ability to work in varying weather and job-site conditions.
• Ability to wear required PPE, including hard hat, safety glasses, high-visibility vest, gloves, and safety footwear.
• Ability to hear and communicate effectively in a construction or industrial environment.

Safety Responsibilities

Safety is the primary responsibility of this position. The Hole Watch must never abandon the post while personnel are inside a confined space unless properly relieved by another qualified attendant. The Hole Watch must never enter a confined space to attempt a rescue unless specifically trained, authorized, and equipped to perform that rescue.
