Corporate Senior Marketing Manager

Position Summary

The Corporate Senior Marketing Manager plays a critical role in driving digital marketing strategy and execution across Meridian Waste’s expanding operations. This position leads the design, implementation, and performance evaluation of digital initiatives that build brand awareness, strengthen customer engagement, and support business growth.

As part of the corporate management team, the Corporate Sr. Marketing Manager serves as a hands-on leader in a lean department, combining creativity with analytical insight. The successful candidate will have an advertising agency background, exceptional writing and communication skills, and a strong command of data-driven marketing.

This is an in-office position based in Charlotte, NC that requires a servant leadership mindset, close collaboration with operational teams, and periodic travel to regional markets, community events and trade shows.


Key Responsibilities

Digital Marketing Strategy, Implementation & Evaluation

  • Serve as the company’s primary architect and driver of digital marketing strategy—ensuring all initiatives align with business goals and brand standards.
  • Lead and execute multi-channel digital campaigns, including SEO/SEM, Google Ads, retargeting, paid social media, content marketing, and email automation.
  • Oversee website content management, ensuring accurate, engaging, and optimized information architecture and user experience.
  • Track and evaluate campaign performance using analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, social dashboards, CRM data) to assess ROI and guide strategy refinements.
  • Develop reporting dashboards and insights for executive review to quantify brand reach, lead generation, and engagement results.
  • Continuously research emerging technologies and trends to position Meridian Waste at the forefront of digital communication and reputation management.

Strategic Marketing & Budget Management

  • Develop and execute integrated marketing and communication plans that connect digital, print, and community outreach efforts.
  • Strengthen Meridian Waste’s reputation and recognition within the waste and environmental services industry.
  • Develop, manage, and monitor marketing budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation and measurable return on investment.
  • Oversee vendor contracts, creative firm relationships, and digital tool subscriptions with a focus on accountability and performance.

Content Creation & Corporate Communications

  • Write and edit press releases, corporate announcements, speeches, and marketing materials that reinforce Meridian Waste’s brand identity and values.
  • Ensure all messaging is accurate, engaging, and consistent across channels.
  • Assist company executives with speechwriting, talking points, and presentation materials; serve as an articulate spokesperson when needed.

Event, Trade Show, & Campaign Management

  • Plan, manage, and attend trade shows, industry conferences, and community outreach events to strengthen corporate visibility and relationships.
  • Coordinate and oversee local and regional special events, including open houses, customer appreciation events, landfill tours, and sponsorship activities.
  • Develop and manage event budgets, logistics, vendor partnerships, and promotional campaigns supporting these events.
  • Represent Meridian Waste professionally and knowledgeably at public and industry gatherings.

Collaboration & Servant Leadership

  • Operate with a servant leadership approach, participating directly in projects while mentoring junior staff and fostering cross-department collaboration.
  • Work closely with operations, sales, and community relations teams to ensure marketing initiatives reflect company priorities and local needs.
  • Manage external agencies, designers, and vendors to maintain quality, timeliness, and brand consistency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of marketing experience, with at least 5 years dedicated to digital marketing strategy, execution, and analytics.
  • Advertising agency background strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience in SEO/SEM, paid media management, email marketing, content strategy, and marketing analytics.
  • Strong understanding of digital KPIs, performance metrics, and conversion tracking.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and public speaking skills.
  • Experience managing trade shows, events, and sponsorship activations.
  • Demonstrated experience with marketing budget development and management.
  • Comfortable working in a lean, fast-paced environment that requires initiative, flexibility, and accountability.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, marketing automation platforms, and CMS systems.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% for corporate, regional, and industry events.
