Job Purpose


The Trade Marketing Associate Manager is responsible for all customer marketing administration, trade budget management, forecasting administration, and various ad hoc projects and administrative efforts within Channels and Specialty for Meal Solutions & Bakery.

This is a hybrid role based out of Northbrook, IL. 

Key Accountabilities

 
   Ensure all trade plans by customer and product segment are loaded into the TPM/TPO system.
   Perform month-end and quarterly trade reviews to monitor trade spending by product category and promoted product group as well as ensure full-year trade is in line with budgeted guidelines.
   Analyze month and quarter-end results by customer and product category
   Support field team in planning process
   Manage slotting process and communicate with internal sales team on spending.
   Analyze trade agreements and outstanding deductions to perform financial true ups.
   Track and forecast overall Channels and Specialty budgets for Meal Solutions & Bakery. Manage trade and other financial information. Identify changes impacting the budget and proactively communicate implications and recommendations.
   Other duties as assigned.

Desired Skills and Background

   Bachelor's degree required. Preferred in Marketing or other Business related field
   Minimum 4 years of experience in sales and/or marketing, preferably in the food or CPG industry
   Experience in trade management and analytics
   Demonstrated analytical skills with proven experience analyzing trade spend, promotions, and customer performance to inform business decisions within trade marketing or sales environments.
   Demonstrated knowledge and proven work experience in retail/specialty channels including an understanding of how these channels operate and go-to-market practices
   Project management experience with successful execution and completion
   Ability to multi-task with attention to detail and organization
   Trade management and system experience required.  Experience with Telus preferred.
   Strong verbal and written communication skills
   Strong analytical capabilities (reviewing/analyzing sales metrics - trade spend, trends, etc)
   SAP and/or Telus Experience Preferred
   Advance PowerBI preferred and experience in pulling syndicated data (Nielsen)
   Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
   Ability to travel up to 5% domestically 

As of the date of this posting, the estimated pay range for this role is $88,000-$95,000 plus eligibility to participate in the annual discretionary bonus plan. The actual pay for the position will be determined by various factors, including but not limited to job-related experience, skills, education, location, and internal equity. This range may be subject to change over time.
