Warehouse Training Manager

Position Overview

AST SpaceMobile is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Warehouse Training Manager to develop, implement, and manage comprehensive training programs for inbound, inventory, kitting, reverse logistics, and material handling personnel across multiple manufacturing and distribution facilities. This role is responsible for ensuring employees are trained to perform safely, efficiently, and in compliance with aerospace, quality, inventory control, and regulatory requirements.

The Warehouse Training Manager will play a critical role in supporting AST SpaceMobile's rapid manufacturing growth by developing a skilled workforce capable of handling high-value aerospace components, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting uninterrupted production operations. The position will partner closely with Warehouse Operations, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, EHS, and Human Resources teams to establish world-class training standards and continuous learning programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement standardized warehouse training programs across all shifts and facilities.
  • Establish onboarding and certification programs for warehouse associates, material handlers, inventory specialists, leads, and supervisors.
  • Create training matrices and qualification requirements for all warehouse functions.
  • Ensure employees complete required training prior to operating equipment or performing critical tasks.
  • Manage annual recertification and refresher training programs.
  • Train employees on receiving, put-away, storage, inventory control, cycle counting, kitting, shipping, and material movement processes.
  • Develop standard work instructions and training documentation for warehouse activities.
  • Ensure compliance with FIFO, FEFO, lot traceability, and inventory management requirements.
  • Support implementation of warehouse best practices and standardized workflows.
  • Develop hands-on training exercises for safe handling of aerospace hardware and sensitive materials.
  • Maintain operator qualification records and certification databases.
  • Support audit readiness and corrective action training initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of safety and operational excellence.
  • Maintain accurate training records and certification documentation.
  • Develop dashboards and reports for training completion, qualification status, and compliance metrics.
  • Ensure training records meet internal and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare reports for leadership regarding workforce readiness and training effectiveness

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant operational leadership experience may be considered.

Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in warehouse operations, supply chain management, logistics, or manufacturing operations.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing warehouses, receiving, or distribution teams.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and material handling processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within aerospace, satellite manufacturing, automotive, advanced manufacturing, or high-volume industrial production environments.
  • Experience supporting lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience with ESD/FOD controls and aerospace quality systems.
  • Experience implementing Learning Management Systems (LMS).
