Job description

Job Summary: Process all returned merchandise to be exchanged, returned to stock, returned to the manufacturer, donated or discarded in a timely and accurate manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

  • Compare merchandise with original requisition and customer feedback to identify reason for return to include incorrect item, quantity mismatch or a defect in merchandise.

  • Call or email customers as needed to obtain additional information concerning their return and/or for placing an exchange order.

  • Inspect merchandise to determine disposition of item.

  • Pull Order up in GQ System and process for credit and/or exchange.

  • Completes all forms required for returned goods.

  • Package and label merchandise to be entered back into stock.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Strong customer service skills with experience in talking with customers via the phone or email - preferred

  • Experience with Personal Computer and Software Programs to include Microsoft Windows (word, excel), email and internet.

  • Ability to learn internal order management software.

  • Ability to meet productivity standards with accuracy/quality

  • Ability to communicate professionally

  • Sense of urgency

  • Ability to follow standard operating processes

  • Great attendance

  • Work overtime as business dictates

  • Ability to work in non-climate controlled warehouse, ability to stand for duration of shift and ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to bend, reach, twist, squat, pull, push, carry and other physical actions required to complete the functions of the job.

  • Ability to research/troubleshoot and make quick decisions

Education/Training/Experience:
  • High school diploma or a GED is required

  • Previous Returns experience preferred
