The Receiving Supervisor supports operational efficiency and customer satisfaction by overseeing the accurate, timely, and safe receipt, inspection, and stocking of incoming plumbing and irrigation inventory. This role leads the receiving team, ensures inventory is processed correctly, and maintains organized receiving and staging areas to support smooth warehouse operations.The ideal candidate thrives in a "team-first" environment and has a passion for customer service.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Receiving Operations
  • Supervise daily receiving activities, including unloading, inspecting, and verifying incoming shipments
  • Verify product quantities and condition against packing slips and purchase orders
  • Coordinate with purchasing and inventory teams to report shortages, damages, or discrepancies
  • Ensure accurate labeling and stocking of inventory in designated warehouse locations
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area

Team Supervision
  • Lead, assign, and monitor daily tasks for the receiving team
  • Train new team members and reinforce proper receiving and safety procedures
  • Promote a team-first, safety-focused work environment
  • Monitor workload and adjust staffing assignments to meet operational demands and deadlines

Cross Department Communication
  • Communicate with warehouse, sales, purchasing, and inventory teams to resolve receiving and inventory issues
