Safety-Kleen Systems, in Metairie, LA, is hiring for a Warehouse Production Operator Lead, to join their safety conscious team!
This position is covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Pay, schedule, and testing requirements are governed by the union contract. 
Work Schedule (per CBA): Monday-Friday; 6AM-2:30PM
Hourly Wage Range (per CBA): $20.40/HR - $26.52/HR

What does it take to work for Safety-Kleen?

  • Lead and support a team of Warehouse Production Operators in daily warehouse and production activities while promoting a strong safety-first culture.
  • Provide day-to-day direction to operators regarding unloading/loading activities, inventory management, order fulfillment, and warehouse organization.
  • Assist with training new employees on standard operating procedures (SOPs), warehouse processes, equipment operation, and safety expectations.
  • Monitor workflow and productivity to ensure daily production and shipping goals are achieved efficiently and accurately.
  • Coordinate work assignments and prioritize tasks based on operational needs and production schedules.
  • Serve as a point of contact for operators by answering questions, troubleshooting operational issues, and escalating concerns to management as needed.
  • Promote compliance with company policies, environmental regulations, and health & safety procedures.
  • Conduct routine inspections of warehouse operations, inventory practices, and housekeeping standards to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Assist leadership with inventory accuracy initiatives, quality control checks, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Support employee development through coaching, mentoring, and reinforcing operational best practices.
  • Communicate effectively with management, production teams, shipping/receiving personnel, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Lead by example through professionalism, accountability, attendance, and adherence to safe work practices.
