Job description

SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor is a key link between the company and its customer base of collision repair shops in the region. The goal for each Warehouse Supervisor is to provide support to a fast-paced Warehouse Team. A successful Warehouse Supervisor will be able to be a contributor to the workflow of the department that oversees the warehouse operations and staff.
Specific Responsibilities:
  • Assist in Safety and Warehouse Processes training
  • Maintain a safe and clean warehouse (Building and Equipment maintenance following safety regulations; trash clean up, facility repairs or equipment repair)
  • Manage the workflow for the major Warehouse tasks (Receiving, Shipping, Maintenance and QC)
  • Must be able to manage team members and create schedules
  • Troubleshoot problems associated with the daily operation in the major warehouse tasks (Receiving, Shipping, Maintenance and QC)
  • Assist the Warehouse manager in developing and updating SOPs
  • Identify productivity areas to measure to help the Director of Warehouse Operations and Warehouse Manager generate KPIs
  • An ability to interpret KPIs and guide the team to achieve the goals set forth
  • Schedule all incoming shipments- Overseas/domestic and update all relevant programs
  • Manage the order picking process
  • Create and schedule shipments of defective or damaged items back to vendors
  • Conduct equipment operator training
  • Order warehouse supplies and equipment
  • Schedule warehouse equipment maintenance
  • Process claims for defective or damaged product
  • Must be able to use email communication with other DCs, vendors or manufacturers
  • Oversee the Performance Management of warehouse staff
  • Assist in physical labor when needed

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
  • At least 1 year of Warehouse Lead experience
  • Highly motivated performer, versatile, agile and with strong leadership skills
  • Ability to present oneself in a professional, courteous manner, either by phone or by email.
  • Solid computer skills are required.
  • Fluent with workflow with relevant programs and processes.
  • High school degree or equivalent is required
  • Ability to prioritize and balance multiple responsibilities to meet deadlines.
