What does a warehouse packer do?

As a warehouse packer, sometimes called a picker, you are in charge of preparing packages for shipment from the warehouse. You also update inventory to reflect items removed and weigh packages. Warehouse packing jobs require physical strength and stamina to lift and pack heavy boxes and items.

What does a warehouse packer do?

A Warehouse Packer is responsible for preparing orders for shipment by packing goods securely and efficiently. Their tasks include selecting products from inventory, checking them for damage, and wrapping or boxing items according to company guidelines. They also label packages, keep records of packed items, and may help with loading shipments onto trucks. Attention to detail and the ability to work quickly are important skills for this role.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a warehouse packer?

Many warehouses provide on-the-job training and encourage teamwork, which helps packers adapt quickly and work efficiently.
