Job Summary

Optris is a leader in the field of non-contact temperature measurement with a full line of pyrometers and infrared cameras developed to support industrial automation and research applications. We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Operations Support Specialist to support the daily operations of our growing infrared temperature measurement business. This role is responsible for shipping and receiving products, maintaining inventory accuracy, entering customer orders into QuickBooks, and helping ensure our customers receive the industry-leading products and services they expect.

The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and comfortable balancing warehouse responsibilities with administrative tasks in a small-business environment.

Responsibilities

Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments of infrared temperature measurement instruments, sensors, accessories, and components.

Pick, pack, and ship customer orders accurately and on schedule.

Enter customer orders, purchase orders, and inventory transactions into QuickBooks.

Maintain accurate inventory records and perform routine cycle counts.

Organize and stock inventory to ensure efficient order fulfillment.

Prepare shipping labels, packing slips, and other shipping documentation.

Coordinate shipments with UPS, FedEx, and freight carriers.

Track shipments and assist customers or team members with delivery-related inquiries.

Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to management.

Assist with receiving quality checks and product verification.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and work area.

Support general operational and administrative activities as needed.

Qualifications

Experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control, warehouse operations, or order fulfillment preferred.

Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting/inventory software.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Proficiency with basic computer applications, email, and data entry.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
