Job description

Position Summary:
Luminys Systems Corporation is seeking a hands-on and experienced Warehouse Lead to oversee daily warehouse operations, support team performance, and ensure accurate, efficient, and timely movement of products through our facility. This role will be responsible for leading warehouse activities including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, returns, and process improvements.
The ideal candidate is a strong warehouse professional who can balance team leadership with hands-on execution, has excellent organizational skills, understands inventory accuracy, and is comfortable using warehouse systems and computer applications to support daily operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Warehouse Operations:
  • Lead, train, and support warehouse team members to achieve operational goals.
  • Assign daily tasks and priorities based on business needs and shipment requirements.
  • Monitor team productivity, quality, safety, and adherence to warehouse procedures.
  • Provide coaching and support to improve team performance and efficiency.
  • Serve as a hands-on leader who is actively involved in daily warehouse activities.
  • Promote a safe, organized, and positive warehouse environment.

Receiving & Inventory Management:
  • Oversee receiving, inspection, labeling, and storage of incoming products.
  • Ensure accurate inventory movement and proper product location within the warehouse.
  • Perform and support cycle counts, inventory audits, and reconciliation activities.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain organized warehouse layouts, bin locations, and product accessibility.
  • Support inventory control processes to minimize errors and product loss.

Order Fulfillment & Shipping Operations:
  • Manage daily order picking, packing, staging, and shipment activities.
  • Ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on schedule.
  • Verify product quantities, serial numbers, and shipping documentation.
  • Coordinate with shipping carriers and logistics partners.
  • Support RMA/return processing and ensure proper handling of returned products.
  • Identify opportunities to improve fulfillment accuracy and turnaround times.

Systems & Administrative Responsibilities:
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, and inventory software.
  • Enter and maintain accurate data within warehouse systems.
  • Generate reports related to inventory, shipments, and operational performance.
  • Use Microsoft Office applications including Excel for tracking and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for warehouse activities.

Process Improvement & Compliance:
  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes, efficiency, and organization.
  • Assist with implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and quality standards.
  • Support warehouse projects, reorganizations, and operational improvements.

Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of warehouse experience with demonstrated leadership responsibilities.
  • Experience leading or supervising warehouse employees.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations including:
    • Receiving
    • Inventory control
    • Picking/packing
    • Shipping/fulfillment
    • Returns/RMA processing
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage changing priorities.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable performing hands-on warehouse tasks daily.
  • Basic computer proficiency and experience using warehouse or inventory systems.
