Scope of the position: The Warehouse Associate supports overall warehouse operations with a primary focus on wire and cable cutting. This role is responsible for accurately cutting, spooling, packing, and preparing wire and cable orders for shipment while maintaining strict safety and quality standards. A key function of this position includes operating machinery to spool and cut wire and cable of various sizes and weights to meet customer specifications.
Responsibilities:Wrap, tie, and place material on reelsSort and place materials on racksUse and adjust machinery to measure lengths of wire to meet customer specificationsFeed and thread wire and cable through machineryComplete pre-start safety inspection before using any machinery or equipmentRecord count and length information on tags or boxesResponsible for carrying out any other duties assigned by the Operations Manager. Skills and Qualifications:1-3 years experience working in a warehouse environmentPerform basic mathematical calculations to complete assigned tasksMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Wire Cutting experience is considered an assetPrior experience operating Reach and Counterbalance forklifts is preferred; however, candidates must be willing to receive training on these machines.
