Job description

Warehouse Operations Associate
Restaurant Technologies is the leading provider of highly innovative and value-enhancing bulk cooking oil management services to the food service industry. The Warehouse Operations Associate is a key member of our depot team, overseeing shipping, receiving, and inventory management, as well as hands-on fleet upkeep - including preventative maintenance, cleaning, loading, and regular calibration. This role is also essential for maintaining food safety and regulatory compliance through rigorous cleaning and maintenance, while actively supporting workplace safety initiatives.

Primary Job Accountabilities:
Shipping Receiving and Inventory Management
  • Oversee the shipping of materials to customers, prepare corporate returns and support the weekly receiving of cooking oil tanker trucks.
  • Oversee the safe receiving of cooking oil tankers. Verifying load specifications against COAs and executing the secure connection and removal of tankers in accordance with environmental and safety containment protocols.
  • Maintain warehouse organization: including accurate receiving and conciliation of orders and inventory, and partnering with leadership to process corporate repair bins and returns.
  • Inspect oil samples for contaminants and conduct warehouse inspections to ensure there are no hazards or deficiencies.
  • Operate a forklift to safely move, load, unload, and stack materials within the warehouse, ensuring efficiency and adherence to all safety protocols.
  • Load fleet vehicles with cooking oil for daily delivery routes.

Fleet Maintenance
  • Maintain fleet by following weekly SSOPs (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures), which includes cleaning filters, repair and replacement of hoses, and ensuring truck cleanliness.
  • Conduct regular verification checks on delivery truck flow meters to ensure accuracy and compliance with safety, legal, and quality standards. Perform truck calibrations.
  • Perform repairs and replacements of pumps and hoses on fleet trucks; manage and handle swappable oil tanks, including lifting and installing tanks, as required.
  • If you have a valid CDL, you may be asked to move our DOT regulated trucks within the depot or transport them as needed and conduct routine safety inspections to ensure all units are road-ready and compliant. If you do not have a CDL, you may be asked to move/transport our smaller vans and trucks, as needed.

Warehouse Cleaning and Maintenance
  • Execute daily SSOPs (Standard Sanitary Operating Procedures) to ensure the depot environment maintains sanitary conditions required for food safety standards to prevent contamination of our oil products. Complete related food safety documentation and report any deficiencies.
  • Maintain rigorous depot cleanliness standards through scheduled sanitation of warehouse floors, and common areas, while documenting all corrective actions in regulatory logs.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • 2+ years of warehouse related job experience.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Current DOT medical card or willingness to obtain one (Restaurant Technologies will assist).
  • Must upload Restaurant Technologies' Fleet Safety Policy requirements and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Willing to obtain forklift operator certification (training provided).
  • Mechanically inclined with demonstrated ability to work with hand tools to perform basic repairs and maintenance on fleet equipment and warehouse machinery; comfortable troubleshooting, replacing, and installing parts (such as pumps, hoses, and swappable oil tanks) to support daily fleet and depot operations.
  • Able to efficiently operate smartphones and handheld devices to perform a variety of warehouse tasks.
  • Able to carry a minimum of 50 pounds by hand up to several hundred yards by cart.
  • Unrestricted ability to bend, stoop, squat, stand, walk, climb, twist, turn and reach out.
  • Ability to climb up and down a ladder as high as 20 feet in the air.
  • Strong attention to detail, skilled at reviewing documentation for accuracy and identifying actionable items.
  • Proven ability to set priorities, manage multiple goals, and consistently deliver effective results.
  • Excellent collaborator, partnering with internal teams and delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Highly organized with a strong ability to maintain orderly work environments and processes.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 3+ years of warehouse related job experience preferred.
  • 2+ yrs experience with shipping, receiving and inventory management.
  • 2+ yrs experience executing daily SSOPs (Standard Sanitary Operating Procedures) and completing HACCP documentation.
  • 2+ yrs experience with fleet maintenance, cleaning, calibration and minor repairs.
  • Previous experience driving trucks with CDL Class A or B.
