Job Summary:

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading warehouse operations across two facilities while maintaining full ownership of inventory accuracy, operational performance, employee development, customer service, and continuous improvement initiatives.

This is a highly visible leadership role within our Supply Chain organization. We are looking for an experienced warehouse leader who can operate independently, proactively identify challenges, develop solutions, drive execution, and deliver results without the need for constant direction or oversight.

The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable leading people, improving processes, analyzing operational performance, and communicating with senior leadership. This role requires someone who takes accountability for outcomes, follows through on commitments, and continuously seeks opportunities to improve warehouse operations while supporting the company's continued growth.

What You'll Do:

Warehouse Operations

    • Lead all warehouse activities including receiving, storage, inventory management, lot control, order fulfillment, shipping, and warehouse organization.
    • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counting, audits, FIFO compliance, lot control, and inventory management best practices.
    • Ensure warehouse facilities remain organized, efficient, safe, and audit-ready.
    • Drive productivity, labor utilization, service levels, and operational performance across both locations.
    • Maintain compliance with SQF, FSMA, OSHA, and company standards.

Leadership & Team Development

    • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop warehouse team members while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
    • Establish clear expectations and hold employees accountable to performance, productivity, safety, and quality standards.
    • Conduct performance evaluations, coaching discussions, employee development planning, and corrective actions when necessary.
    • Build leadership capability within the team through training, delegation, and development opportunities.

Ownership & Continuous Improvement

    • Take full ownership of warehouse performance, operational goals, inventory accuracy, and customer expectations.
    • Identify operational risks, inventory discrepancies, staffing concerns, and process gaps before they impact the business.
    • Develop and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, productivity, and customer service.
    • Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean principles, 5S, Kaizen, Standard Work, and root cause analysis methodologies.
    • Drive accountability by ensuring projects, corrective actions, audits, and operational initiatives are completed effectively and on time.

Cross-Functional Partnership & Communication

    • Partner closely with Procurement, Production, Quality Assurance, Customer Service, Finance, Human Resources, and Supply Chain leadership teams.
    • Serve as the primary warehouse representative for cross-functional projects and operational initiatives.
    • Provide proactive updates regarding warehouse performance, business risks, operational challenges, corrective actions, and improvement opportunities.
    • Present recommendations and solutions rather than simply identifying problems.

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum 6 years of progressive warehouse, distribution, logistics, or supply chain management experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of direct leadership experience managing warehouse teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Multi-site warehouse management experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control, warehouse management systems, cycle counting, audits, FIFO compliance, lot control, and material flow processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently and successfully manage warehouse operations with minimal supervision.
  • Proven track record of driving accountability, achieving operational goals, and executing initiatives through completion.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with employees, peers, and senior leadership.
  • Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives and implementing operational best practices.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Food manufacturing, food distribution, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or regulated industry experience preferred.
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, or Continuous Improvement experience preferred.
  • Safety-focused with the ability to lift/move up to 75 pounds.

Why Join CG Family Foods?

  • Opportunity to make a direct impact on a growing organization.
  • Highly visible leadership role with influence across warehouse and supply chain operations.
  • Collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Opportunity to drive meaningful improvements and help shape the future of our operations.

If you're a hands-on warehouse leader who thrives on ownership, accountability, leadership, and continuous improvement, we'd love to hear from you.
