Job Description

The Sr. Distribution Operations Manager leads the overall logistical movement and control of materials, including inbound, outbound, inter-plant, production supply, inventory management, warehouse operations and transportation. Responsible for expense control and warehouse operational KPI's. Serves as process owner and subject matter expert for warehouse/shipping and Inventory.

  • Manages theday-to-dayexecution ofthematerials movementprocessbetween the warehouse and the production floorandFinished Goodsshipping to customersand Regions.

  • Lead keyOptimization andContinuousImprovement projects for the warehouse using sound analytical methods, sophisticated software skills, change management, and communication tools to effectivelyoperatea warehouse that will yield the highest productivity and efficiency.

  • Continue to drive the discussion onthe useof new automated warehouse technologies such as VLM/ASRS and automated material delivery.

  • Partner with Global Supply Chain/Purchasing to continue the formulation of the Plan for Every Part (PFEP) that is inclusive of purchasing, planning, warehousing, and control of materials from the receipt of forecasting of replenishment needs to the delivery of finished products to finished goods warehouses and distribution, based on this deliverable ensure planning and induction for warehouse capacity in Satellite DC.

  • Manage transactional integrity andestablishcontrols to ensureWatersoperatesat the highest level of performance based on key performance metrics and minimized supply chain risk.

  • Ensurestrategies, policies, procedures, and overallteamsare in place to optimizethe valueof the entire function in creating a world class warehousing group in support of the Global Supply Chain.

  • Leads key projects or initiatives supporting process transformation, inventory optimization, Continuous Improvement, and other warehouse management initiatives.

  • Responsible for managing a team ofshipping/warehouse associates, including training, compliance, and performance measurement. Hire, train, develop, and motivate warehouse personnel to follow procedures, meet high quality standards, support production schedules, and achieve operations department and productivity goals. Evaluate and provide ongoing coaching, development, and performance feedback to the warehouse team.

  • Determinewarehousing productivity standards for processes and labor.

  • Execution ofthewarehousestrategyto support Key Business Objectives.

  • Responsible for the inventory control programand financial compliance.

  • Collaboratescross functionallytoidentifyvulnerabilities andtoclose operational gaps.

  • Ensurea high levelof engagement withcross-functionalteams within the manufacturing,purchasingand supply chain teams.

  • Involved in periodically updating and improving procedures, instructions, and tools related to warehousing activity improvement.

  • Complieswithall GMP, regulatory and ISO guidelines, including company policies and departmental procedures.

  • Perform other duties asrequiredby thesiteleadership.

Skills:

  • Experiencedmanaging a team ofwarehouse/logisticsassociates.

  • Interpersonal and oral/written communications skills.

  • Experience inSAPor relatedwarehouse management,Inventory control &sound knowledge inData Analytics tool(Eg: Tableau, Power BI, QlikView).

Qualifications and Experience:

  • BA/BS degreeinSupply Chain,Logistics,or related field

  • 8-10yearsofexperience inLogisticsmanagement

  • Advanced experience in SAP and warehouse management systems

  • Experience in Medical Deviceor regulatedindustry

Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • Experienceoperatingin a lean warehouse environment.

  • Skills in developing and executing inventory control strategies.

  • Strong knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control processes.

  • Proficiencyin warehouse management systems and shipping software.

  • Experience implementing warehouse management or barcoding systems.
