BBSI is recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager on behalf of a well-established construction services organization in the San Jose area. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the efficient movement of materials, equipment, tools, and deliveries that keep field operations running safely and on schedule.

We're seeking a hands-on operations leader with experience in construction, building materials, industrial distribution, or equipment management who excels at leading people, improving processes, and building a culture of accountability and operational excellence.

Position Summary

The Warehouse Operations Manager will oversee all warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics, driver supervision, tool room operations, and facility support. This role also serves as the backup to the Fleet Manager when needed.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations

·         Direct all warehouse activities including receiving, storage, staging, shipping, and material distribution.

·         Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts, audits, and inventory reporting.

·         Develop and improve warehouse organization, workflows, and operational procedures.

·         Ensure materials and equipment are available to support field operations and project schedules.

·         Maintain OSHA compliance and enforce warehouse safety standards.

Inventory & Tool Management

·         Oversee company tool inventory, accountability, and tracking.

·         Manage check-in/check-out procedures and equipment assignments.

·         Coordinate repairs, calibration, maintenance, and replacement of tools.

·         Maintain accurate inventory records and reporting.

Transportation & Logistics

·         Supervise warehouse drivers and coordinate daily deliveries and pickups.

·         Schedule material deliveries to support active construction and service projects.

·         Improve route efficiency while ensuring excellent internal customer service.

·         Partner with Fleet leadership to maintain DOT and safety compliance.

Facility Operations

·         Coordinate routine facility maintenance and vendor services.

·         Assist with preventative maintenance and building upkeep.

·         Support office moves, warehouse improvements, and facility organization.

Fleet Support & Leadership

·         Provide backup support to the Fleet Manager during vacations, absences, or peak workload periods.

·         Assist with fleet scheduling, compliance documentation, inspections, and vendor coordination.

·         Lead, mentor, and develop warehouse staff and drivers.

·         Promote accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

·         Partner with Project Management, Service, Purchasing, Safety, and Field Operations to ensure timely support of all jobs.

Qualifications/Requirements:

·         5+ years of warehouse, logistics, and operations management experience

·         Previous leadership experience within a commercial construction or facilities environment

·         Experience supervising warehouse personnel, drivers, and inventory operations

·         Strong understanding of construction materials, tools, equipment, and logistics

·         Experience with warehouse management systems and inventory control

·         Knowledge of DOT regulations and warehouse safety practices

·         Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills

·         Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

·         Proficient with Microsoft Office and inventory management software
