Job description

DescriptionLead the Warehouse Operations That Keep Life-Saving Devices Moving

At Life Science Outsourcing (LSO), precision matters at every step of the supply chain. As a medical device contract manufacturer operating under FDA regulations and ISO 13485 standards, we depend on a warehouse operation that is accurate, compliant, and built to support the pace of regulated manufacturing. The Warehouse Manager is the person who makes that happen.

If you thrive on accountability, bring deep experience in regulated-environment inventory management, and know how to lead a team through process improvement while holding the line on compliance, this role was built for you.

What Youโ€™ll Do

You will own end-to-end warehouse operations across receiving, storage, inventory control, and shipping, serving as a critical link between production, procurement, and quality.

Inventory Control and Cycle Counting

  • Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels, minimize carrying costs, and prevent production-disrupting shortages.
  • Lead the design and execution of a robust cycle counting program to maintain inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP tools (Deacom preferred) to track inventory movements, monitor stock levels, and generate management-facing reports.

Warehouse Operations and Order Fulfillment

  • Oversee all aspects of warehouse workflow including receiving, storage, pick-and-pack, and outbound shipping to ensure on-time order fulfillment.
  • Collaborate with production, procurement, and quality assurance teams to forecast material needs and maintain uninterrupted supply to the floor.
  • Develop and maintain KPIs for inventory turnover, fulfillment accuracy, on-time delivery, and warehouse productivity; analyze trends and drive continuous improvement.

Regulatory Compliance and Safety

  • Ensure all warehouse operations comply with GMP, ISO 13485, OSHA standards, and applicable FDA regulations.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all warehouse functions; conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and remediate compliance or safety gaps.
  • Maintain proper documentation and record-keeping practices aligned with regulatory requirements and quality systems.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Train warehouse staff on GMP, ISO 13485, OSHA standards, SOPs, safety protocols, and operational best practices.
  • Lead by example to foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement across the warehouse team.
  • Serve as the operational liaison between the warehouse and cross-functional departments, facilitating communication and alignment on shared goals.

Process Improvement

  • Identify process gaps and implement solutions that enhance compliance, efficiency, and effectiveness across warehouse operations.
  • Apply structured methodologies (Six Sigma, lean principles, or equivalent) to reduce waste and improve throughput.
  • Leverage data from WMS and ERP platforms to surface insights and support management decision-making.
QualificationsWhat You Bring

Skills and Experience

  • 7+ years of warehouse management experience, ideally in a medical device manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of inventory management principles, including cycle counting, ABC analysis, and JIT systems.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Deacom ERP is a plus.
  • Forklift operator certification required; hazardous material handling certificate is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred; APICS certification or Six Sigma credential is a plus.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, required.
  • Familiarity with FDA regulations, ISO 13485, GMP, and OSHA standards applicable to medical device manufacturing.

Mindset and Impact

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in inventory management and data integrity.
  • Proactive leader who motivates and develops teams, not just manages them.
  • Strong communicator who can engage effectively across production, procurement, quality, and executive stakeholders.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, regulated environment where competing priorities are the norm, not the exception.
  • Brings an ownership mindset to compliance, safety, and continuous improvement rather than treating them as checkbox exercises.
Why Join LSO?
  • Work at the intersection of precision manufacturing and life-saving medical technology.
  • Lead a team and own a function with direct impact on production performance and customer commitments.
  • Build your career in an FDA/ISO 13485-regulated environment with growing cross-functional visibility.
  • Join a PE-backed organization with the resources and growth trajectory to expand your scope.
  • Be part of a team that takes quality seriously, at every level of the operation.
Work Environment
  • On-site, full-time at the Brea, CA facility.
  • Operates in a regulated medical device manufacturing environment subject to FDA, ISO 13485, GMP, and OSHA standards.
  • Requires ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds; standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required for handling inventory and operating warehouse equipment.
  • Must be able to work in varying temperature conditions within the warehouse environment.
  • Visual acuity required for inspecting inventory items and reading labels; computer use for extended periods.
  • Forklift operation required; certification must be current or obtainable upon hire.
Make an Impact

Every medical device that leaves LSO's facility represents a patient waiting for treatment, a clinician relying on precision, and a customer who trusted us to deliver. The Warehouse Manager holds a critical piece of that promise, ensuring the right materials are in the right place at the right time, handled with the accuracy and compliance that life-science manufacturing demands. If you are ready to lead a warehouse operation where your decisions have real consequences, and real rewards, LSO is ready for you.
