Branch Manager – Spring Valley, MN

Established in 2001, AMD Distribution (), a specialty insulation distributor and fabricator and a proud subsidiary of Installed Building Products, has built a strong reputation for delivering high‑quality insulation and accessories across the continental United States. We are growing—and we’re looking for a Branch Manager who leads with integrity, accountability, and a people‑first mindset.

This is an opportunity to guide a diverse team across warehouse, office, and customer‑facing functions while shaping a culture of safety, respect, and operational excellence.

Primary job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead branch teams across warehouse, operations, and administrative functions
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure safety, accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional customer service
  • Manage inventory processes, including receiving, storage, shipping, and delivery
  • Set clear performance expectations, provide coaching, and conduct evaluations
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures
  • Monitor key performance metrics and implement improvements to drive productivity and profitability
  • Maintain facility and equipment to support safe and efficient operations
  • Collaborate with leadership to support company goals and strategic initiatives

What you'll bring: 

  • 2–5 years of successful experience in a related leadership or operations role
  • Strong goal orientation, discipline, and motivation to achieve results
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Integrity, a positive team‑first attitude, and a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback
  • Experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts (training available)
  • Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment and adapting to change
  • Building materials experience or mechanical aptitude (preferred)
  • Basic computer proficiency (preferred)

Work hours would be 7 AM-4:30 PM; overtime as required to meet expectations/deadlines

The physical demands of this role include performing tasks in a warehouse and office environment that may involve standing, walking, reaching, and handling materials or equipment as part of daily operations. The position may occasionally require lifting or moving items up to 75 pounds, operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, and working in a fast‑paced setting with varying temperatures.
