POSITION TITLE

Warehouse Manager


COMPANY OVERVIEW

Container Centralen, Inc (CC, Inc) has rapidly established itself as the largest rack/cart supplier to the North American horticultural industry. We provide the industry with access to approximately 850,000 shipping racks/carts for delivery of live plants to garden center retailers. We operate a unique and powerful business model which allows us to offer high-value asset rental and logistics services to our customers.


JOB OVERVIEW

The Warehouse Manager will oversee day-to-day operations of the warehouse (depot) and supervise approximately six to twelve depot employees and recovery drivers. The Warehouse Manager will work as a member of the Operations team under the day-to-day guidance of the Director of Field Operations.


JOB DUTIES

  • Provide leadership for the depot team
  • Supervise recovery drivers to ensure routes are run effectively and efficiently
  • Implement standard operating procedures for workflow
  • Collaborate and effectively communicate with account management, inventory control, and logistics to coordinate the future needs of our customers
  • Manage schedules of employees, including periods of multiple shifts
  • Coordinate shipping/receiving schedule to optimize operations
  • Maintain an organized, safe, healthy and positive work environment
  • Hire, onboard, and submit timesheets for direct reports
  • Manage and submit inventory reporting
  • Training of new hires on processes and procedures

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4+ years of warehouse management experience
  • 4+ years of warehousing experience
  • High school diploma/GED required, Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience with inventory control, shipping, receiving, and warehouse management systems
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop warehouse staff.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment, including standing, walking, and occasional lifting
  • Ability to sit at a desk for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new systems and process flows
  • Customer relationship building mindset
  • Demonstrated data input capabilities, including Microsoft Excel functions
