City : Decatur State : Alabama (US-AL) Country : United States (US) Requisition Number : 45139A Day in the Life:The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the management of all systems and activities involved in the receiving, storage, and shipping of products in a Bunge facility.What You'll Be Doing:Cultivate a safety culture where unsafe acts are not tolerated and employees and management have a common goal of zero injuries.Oversee assigned facility warehouse activities to ensure operations are running at the highest levels of efficiency.Manage monthly sanitation inspections and lead, monitor and ensure corrective actions are completed as necessary.Track and report facility productivity improvements.Approve daily reports and KPRs for the department.Assist the Plant Manager in planning annual shutdowns.Work with the Safety/Environmental Manager to ensure compliance.Responsible for developing and driving Operations Excellence Plans to help meet safety, quality and production goals and show continuous improvement throughout the facility.Continually identifies and implements short- and long-term cost savings opportunities, in the areas of distribution and warehousing that do not compromise quality.Support the continuous improvement activities and act as a change agent for any changes that occur in the facility.Monitor KPR's throughout the facility and help develop plans to bring teams in line with Operations Excellence goals.Participate in daily production meetings to remain informed and ensure that the activities of all production operations management are aligned.Ensure maintenance of all material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, trucks and trailers.Maintain understanding of warehouse capacities, monitor daily levels and plan future moves.Ensure integrity of all SAP transactions: Post goods inventory, returns and inventory accuracy.Plan, lead, and conduct finished goods inventory counts as determined by management.Develop and maintain a schedule for forklift drivers and truck drivers that meet the demand of plant volume and customer requirements.Participate in new employee selection process.Assist Department Supervisors and Shift Supervisors with personnel issues by participating in investigations and recommending corrective actions as necessary.Commitment to supply safe food, maintain a food safety culture within the site, continually improve the site's food safety management system, and comply with customer and regulatory requirements.Perform other duties as assigned.Skill/Experience Requirements:Bachelor's degree or equivalent progressive experience of 5+ years in warehousing, oil refining, oil packaging operations, or related and applicable activities is requiredProficiency with basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and other technical software packages, as neededWork Schedule:Standard (On-call 24/7 as needed)Bunge offers a variety of benefits including health and wellness plans, retirement contribution and paid vacation/holidays.At Bunge (NYSE: BG), our purpose is to connect farmers to consumers to deliver essential food, feed and fuel to the world.
