Job description

Machine & Saw Operator:


Full Time, Warehouse, Saw Operator Position in a thriving metal distribution company in Rochester Hills, MI.

SHIFT SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5PM

Basic Qualifications:

  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Basic math skills and ability to read a standard tape measure
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
  • Attention to detail
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Reliable Transportation to get to work on time


General Accountabilities:

Complete on the job training for warehouse machines, saws, shear, forklift overhead crane, Anver lift, and others.

Develop and demonstrate and understanding of saw capabilities and specific material processing requirements

Read work orders and fulfillment tickets to determine specifications such as grade, size, cut length, and quantity

Identify and locate material using racking system and computer-based inventory system

Use measurement tools to ensure accurate cuts

Complete paperwork to track inventory

Follow heat traceability requirements per the quality manual and procedures

Assist in packing and transporting material to fulfillment station or shipping and receiving

Work with team to maintain warehouse cleanliness

Maintain machine cleanliness and perform preventative maintenance

Willing to perform other duties as assigned


Chauffer's License to  make local deliveries preferred, but not required
