Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
The Warehouse Operator II is an expanded role at an Area Fulfillment Center (AFC) as the individual has demonstrated proficiency of the Warehouse Operator I requirements. Their primary responsibilities still focus on the distribution of Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) and Materials (non-CPE) in a warehouse environment, with added duties.
In this position the individual will perform receiving, putaway, order fulfillment, processing equipment returns as well as transportation of equipment orders using company vehicles. They will also be involved in inventory management, such as cycle counting CPE and Materials at a warehouse or assigned to a boundary partner. This individual will utilize various applications to perform these actions, while taking direction and guidance from AFC leaders and other Warehouse Operator roles.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Receiving and putaway into assigned Bin/Row locations of CPE shipments and Material products from a Primary Distribution Center (PDC) or manufacturer.
  • Fulfillment of CPE and Material orders to various boundary partners (Field Service Technicians, Installation Contractors, Solution Stores, 3rd Party Stores, etc.) as well as monitoring inventory levels and restocking appropriately.
  • Utilizes Warehouse Management System (WMS) applications & scanners to perform warehouse functions.
  • Processes CPE returns by utilizing WMS application to prepare CPE returns for shipment back to the PDC. Includes sorting, boxing, labeling, shrink wrapping & staging of CPE returns on pallets.
  • Monitor and restock Quick Pick locations to maintain adequate inventory levels.
  • Utilizes light warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks and carts.
  • Displays necessary skills needed to safely operate heavy machinery such as forklifts and larger delivery vehicles, which are used to provide pickup, delivery, and loading/unloading of CPE, materials, equipment, and mail.
  • Assists in daily cycle counts to audit physical and systemic accuracy of inventory at a warehouse or assigned to boundary partner.
  • Creates Return Material Authorization (RMA) for equipment in need of repair or coming back to the AFC
  • Executes quality managements procedures and systems
  • May train, coach, and provide limited direction to other Warehouse Associate or Supply Chain Specialist employees on an as needed basis.
  • Performs other duties as requested

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum-
  • High School diploma/GED with 3 years of experience in a related field (i.e. Supply Chain, Logistics, warehousing.); OR 5 years equivalent experience in lieu of a diploma or certification.
  • Requires strong knowledge of basic computing skills (i.e. E-mail, Microsoft Office, etc.)
  • Capability to develop aptitude for basic warehouse inventory management systems (CHAT, Oracle, ICOMS, etc.)
  • Ability to learn how to operate warehouse equipment (pallet jack, stretch wrap machine, etc.)

Preferred
  • Any level degree or certification beyond High School diploma/GED + up to 1 year of experience in related discipline desired (Supply Chain / Logistics / Warehousing)
  • Prefer certification in operating warehouse equipment
  • Experience in telecommunications industry desired.
