Job description

Warehouse Lead

Location: New England Brewing Co., Branford, CT
Job Type: Full-Time

Join Our Team

We're looking for an experienced, motivated Warehouse Lead to join our production team. This is a hands-on role responsible for keeping our warehouse running safely, efficiently, and accurately while supporting all aspects of brewery operations.

Our warehouse is a dynamic environment with limited space, constant traffic, incoming deliveries, and outgoing shipments. Success in this position requires someone who is exceptionally organized, confident operating a forklift in tight quarters, and committed to maintaining accurate inventory and documentation.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring materials and finished goods are stored, staged, and shipped efficiently.
  • Safely operate forklifts to move pallets of beer, raw materials, packaging supplies, and other inventory throughout the facility.
  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verify deliveries, and maintain organized inventory storage.
  • Process invoices using QuickBooks, ensuring timely and accurate recordkeeping.

  • Coordinate inventory with brewing, packaging, and sales teams to support production schedules and customer orders.
  • Perform routine inventory counts and investigate discrepancies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized warehouse that maximizes efficiency in a high-traffic, space-constrained environment.
  • Enforce warehouse safety standards and promote safe forklift operation.

What We're Looking For

  • Extensive forklift experience is required. You should be comfortable operating forklifts safely and efficiently in tight spaces with frequent vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
  • Experience using QuickBooks, including processing and managing vendor invoices.
  • Strong warehouse organization and inventory management skills.
  • Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, beverage, or food production environments.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet throughout the day.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a craft brewery, beverage production, or food manufacturing environment.
  • Forklift certification (or the ability to become certified).
  • Experience with inventory control systems and warehouse best practices.

Why Join Us?

At Nebco, every role contributes directly to the quality of the beer we produce and the experience we deliver to our customers. As Warehouse Lead, you'll play a critical role in keeping our operation running smoothly while working alongside a passionate team dedicated to craftsmanship, quality, and continuous improvement.

If you're an organized problem solver with outstanding forklift skills and the ability to thrive in a busy warehouse environment, we encourage you to apply.
