Job description

Job Summary: As an Inventory Warehouse Associate you will be responsible for general inventory processes, cycle counting, investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies, adjusting inventory caused by breakage or errors, and looking for stock that may be in the wrong location. The use of an order picker and forklift is required. The Warehouse Inventory Associate will also be responsible for maintaining excellent customer service to internal and external customers always. We are seeking candidates who are extremely motivated and are excited about the opportunity to support all operational processes and procedures.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Cycle counting inventory and resolving discrepancies.
  • Performing physical inventories.
  • Follow specific work instructions and best practices to safely and accurately complete daily work assignments.
  • Adjusting inventory due to breakage or any other reason.
  • Support all operational processes and procedures to ensure value to the customer and compliance with all PGW policies, customer requirements and federal/state/local regulations.
  • Inspect each pallet and or case for proper quantities, items, and expiration date (as applicable) damages and follow any special instructions on Work Assignment Form and /or additional documentation.
  • Communicate problems, concerns, and ideas to management. Identify process improvements.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
  • Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
  • Participate in all assigned training programs and adhere to all guidelines
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Assist in various warehouse maintenance tasks, including sweeping floors, storing equipment, etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous warehouse or logistics experience, especially handling fragile materials, is a plus.
  • Ability to operate or willingness to learn how to use forklifts and warehouse equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management and order fulfillment.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and shipping/receiving documentation.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 75 pounds regularly.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and ability to follow established procedures.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
  • Warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
  • Use of safety PPE such as gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toe boots as required.
  • Handling fragile automotive glass products requiring precision and caution.
  • Weekend shifts may be required based on business needs.
