Role Summary
The Warehouse Clerk/Team Lead is responsible for inventory accuracy, warehouse documentation, and system transactions that support inbound receiving, internal transfers, and outbound shipments. This role ensures that what happens physically in the warehouse is accurately reflected in the ERP system and communicated clearly across operations, customer service, and logistics. As a Team Lead, they serve as a floor-level leader across the facility's warehouse team and enforce discipline and rigor on the floor and throughout the company's systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain physical safety, food safety, and allergen control at all times
  • Enter and maintain inventory transactions in the ERP system (receipts, shipments, transfers, adjustments)
  • Own end-of-day ERP close; ensure all transactions are completed and accurate, and provide reporting and metrics to the Warehouse Manager
  • Prepare, review and upload shipping documentation, including BOLs, packing lists, and labels
  • Reconcile discrepancies between physical inventory, production output, and system records; investigate and resolve variances
  • Coordinate shipment timing and priorities with Customer Service, Logistics, and Operations.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing and Accounting to resolve any receiving or invoicing discrepancies
  • Support inbound receiving documentation and lot traceability; apply serial number labels to all received items
  • Track and organize warehouse records for audits, food safety reviews, quality audits, and regulatory compliance
  • Assist with cycle counts, root-cause analysis, and year-end physical inventory counts
  • Help count and maintain accurate supply inventory
  • Serve as the go-to point of contact for warehouse documentation and ERP-related questions.
  • Provide coverage for shipping, receiving, order picking and forklift operation, as needed
Qualifications
  • 4+ years in a warehouse clerk, inventory control, logistics, or operations support role preferred
  • Experience working in an ERP or WMS environment
  • Experience working in a food manufacturing or food distribution company
  • Strong attention to detail with demonstrated inventory accuracy and reconciliation skills
  • Strong communication skills with sound judgment on escalation and follow-up
  • Ability to work effectively between office and warehouse environments.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
  • Proficient in Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel for basic reporting and data review.
  • Forklift certified

  • Shipping documentation consistently matches physical shipments, minimizing customer issues
  • Reduced inventory discrepancies and cleaner handoffs between teams
  • Audit-ready warehouse documentation and strong compliance performance
Additional Expectations
  • This role may require weekend work, extended hours during peak periods, and participation in year-end physical inventory counts
  • A working understanding of food safety requirements, allergen controls, and temperature-sensitive products is required
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to work in temperature-controlled environments, including coolers and freezers
