Warehouse Assistant Manager Description:
Store Supply Warehouse is looking for a dedicated individual to join our team as a Warehouse Assistant Manager, at our Sparks, NV location. As a Warehouse Assistant Manager, you will be part of assisting the Warehouse Manager with managerial decisions concerning the warehouse, as well as, assisting with production matters, that include picking and packing orders, assembling, receiving, replenishment, loading/unloading, and other duties in a fast-paced environment.
Warehouse Assistant Manager Responsibilities:
  • Consistently acting in the best interest of both the Company and its customers
  • Management of warehouse personnel
  • Knowing, performing, and, overseeing all aspects of the warehouse which includes picking, packing, replenishment, put away, loading/unloading trailers, receiving, assembling showcases, and inventory control
  • Utilizes and enforces progressive disciplinary guidelines listed in handbook
  • Adheres to cycle count program to insure inventory accuracy
  • Ensures warehouse is run safely (OSHA compliant), reporting any unsafe conditions/equipment to the manager and Human Resources Manager
  • Oversee showcase production lines to guarantee efficiency and company standards
  • Organizes and manages special projects as needed
  • Reports daily on employee performance and accuracy
  • Following company process and Paying attention to detail
  • Communicating effectively with individuals/teams to ensure high quality and timely expedition of customer requests
  • Contributing ideas on ways to resolve problems to better serve the customer and/or improve productivity
  • Interfacing with a variety of internal departments
  • Organizing, planning and prioritizing work duties
  • Maintaining a courteous and positive relationship with all customers and fellow employees
  • Entering needed data into computer for order processing on a constant basis
  • Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Examining and inspecting stock items for wear or defects, reporting damages to manager
  • Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents
  • Operating forklift and operating strap machine
  • Accurately sort and stack product according to labels
  • Effectively pushing/pulling carts throughout warehouse containing product
  • Performing other duties assigned by manager/lead

Warehouse Assistant Manager Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or a GED is required
  • Warehouse experience of 3 years or more in manufacturing or factory environment
  • A strong work ethic
  • Proficient with Word, Outlook, and an advance with Excel
  • Experience in leading a team and communicating closely with management is a must
  • Ability to work in a quick-paced production environment; troubleshoot and take corrective action to resolve problems, if necessary
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends/holiday when necessary
  • Forklift and reach truck experience is a plus
  • Willingness to maintain a safe and ethical work environment, and work as an effective team member
  • Being reliable, accountable and responsible for own actions
  • Ability to lift or push/pull objects up to 75 pounds
  • Being honest, ethical, and display a positive attitude
  • Capability to stand/walk for a minimum of eight hours per day
  • Ability to lift, turn, bend, reach, pull, and walk
  • Tolerate a hot/cold environment (varied climate)
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
