Job description

Summary: The Checker will perform their duties primarily from the guard house and they will be responsible for performing various warehouse duties such as checking and verifying inbound and outbound trucks, assigning dock doors to drivers, etc.
Work Hours: Monday to Friday from 07:00 AM to 05:30 PM, 2 Saturday(s) a month from 07:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Seniority Level: Entry Level
Employment Type: Full-time
Compensation: This hourly, non-exempt position pays from $18.75 to $21.75 per hour, with overtime compensated at 1.5 times the base rate. New hires usually earn between $54,100 and $70,700 annually, or more, depending on experience, overtime hours, and bonuses.
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to do the following:
  • Validate inbound seal numbers on all inbound containers.
  • Verify inbound containers are delivered to the correct location, validate materials, and assign a dock door to the driver.
  • Verify all outbound trucks, assign a dock door to driver, and help ensure drivers are loaded with the correct product.
  • Perform daily and weekly audits of containers in yard.
  • Help identify late orders and escalating to warehouse leadership team.
  • Driving a forklift may be required to perform some duties related to checker, shipping and receiving.
  • Perform additional duties as required and or requested.

Additionally the candidate must meet the following Education and/or Experience requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two (2) plus years' experience in a warehouse environment.
  • 1-2 years of warehouse experience.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of using computer or tablet a plus.
