The T&S Digital Identity team at Walmart leads critical operational initiatives to uphold trust and safety. This team collaborates across functions to analyze data, develop solutions, and implement best practices that enhance project outcomes. Members manage timelines, engage stakeholders, and support business goals with integrity and accountability. The team fosters a collaborative environment focused on delivering results that protect customers and the business. Expertise in operations management, project management, and business analysis is essential to drive continuous improvement and achieve strategic objectives in this role.
The Senior Manager, Digital Identity Governance & Vendor Strategy is responsible for defining the standards, controls, and vendor ecosystem that underpin the identity verification program for Last Mile Delivery (LMD). This role ensures that the program is compliant, cost-effective, and resilient against evolving fraud and regulatory risks.
This leader owns vendor strategy, procurement, financial oversight, and governance frameworks while shaping the long-term identity roadmap in alignment with industry trends and business priorities.What you'll do...
  • Vendor Strategy & Finance: Lead end-to-end IDV/KYC vendor procurement, contract negotiation, and program budgeting, driving ROI and cost optimization tied to delivery volumes.
  • Governance & Compliance: Establish robust governance frameworks, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory requirements, KYC standards, and data privacy.
  • Performance Management: Monitor vendor SLAs and KPIs, acting as the primary escalation point for risks and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Technology & Innovation: Leverage expertise in biometrics and AI fraud signals to evaluate emerging technologies and influence the strategic roadmap.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with Product, Engineering, and Legal to build a scalable, resilient identity infrastructure that combats evolving threats.

What you'll bring...
  • 7+ years of experience in Vendor Management, Program Governance, or Technology Strategy  
  • 3+ years in a senior leadership role  
  • Proven experience managing large-scale vendor ecosystems and procurement processes  
  • Strong financial acumen with ownership of multi-million dollar budgets  
  • Experience in digital identity, KYC, fraud, or trust & safety domains  
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to identity verification  
  • Strong understanding of IDV vendor landscape and biometric technologies  
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
