Position Summary...Walmart is seeking a Senior Manager, Construction to lead multiple new store construction projects already in progress. This role is designed for a proven construction leader who can step in quickly, assess priorities, and drive execution with minimal ramp-up time.
You will oversee 3–5 concurrent projects, leading cross-functional coordination, contractor performance, budget oversight, and project delivery from active pipeline through completion. The right candidate brings a strong construction foundation, sound judgment, and the ability to keep projects moving in a fast-paced environment where quality, compliance, schedule, and cost all matter.What you'll do...What You’ll Do
  • Take ownership of 3–5 active construction projects and drive them from current state through completion.
  • Lead day-to-day execution across budget, schedule, quality, compliance, and scope.
  • Review estimates, bids, change orders, invoices, and project financials to maintain strong cost control.
  • Partner with contractors, municipalities, consultants, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and keep projects on track.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks early, and make decisions that protect delivery timelines and operational goals.
  • Align construction activity with business needs while minimizing disruption and ensuring consistent project standards.
  • Use construction documents, drawings, and project systems to support planning, communication, and execution.
  • Contribute to a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the team.
What You’ll Bring
  • Experience leading construction projects in a fast-paced environment with the ability to get up and running quickly.
  • Strong construction background, with commercial construction preferred; industrial or remodel experience also considered.
  • Broad project exposure from a general contractor, owner’s representative, or similar construction leadership role.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining control of budget, schedule, and execution.
  • Experience reviewing construction documents, budgets, estimates, and bids.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and internal construction tools and documentation platforms, including Juice.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
