Job Description

Company:
Hawaii Resort Spa Portfolio & Franchised Wellness Portfolio

Location:
Sacramento, CA (Field-Based) with frequent travel to Hawaii

Schedule:
Full-Time | Regular On-Site Presence Required
Frequent Multi-State Travel

Compensation:
$150,000 base + performance incentive (up to $180,000 total target) + Path to Equity

Employment:
Full-Time

Take full ownership of a multi-state spa portfolio, spanning Hawaii’s resort settings and a fast-growing California wellness franchise, with a genuine path to future ownership for the right long-term fit.

Our organization exists to improve the lives of every person we meet. As Vice President of Operations, you’ll provide senior-level leadership and full accountability for the operational, financial, and cultural performance of our spa businesses across Hawaii and California, working directly with teams to build a service culture grounded in results, enthusiasm, accountability, connection, and honesty.

What You Will Do
  • Grow and scale our client's membership-based franchise business in the Sacramento market: marketing, sales, retention, pricing strategy, and member experience
  • Own full profit and loss performance across the California franchise division and the Hawaii resort spa division
  • Lead daily operations, financial results, and team culture with regular on-site presence and frequent travel between markets
  • Recruit, coach, and mentor site leaders, building bench strength and succession depth across both divisions
  • Build and refine SOPs and training programs that hold up consistently across multiple locations and two different business models
  • Build revenue through marketing, service offerings, membership growth, and standout guest and team experiences
RequirementsWhat We Need (MUST HAVE)
  • Proven experience operating and growing a membership-based business model (franchise or membership-driven service business) — this is a membership-growth role first, not a general resort or hotel management role
  • 7+ years of multi-unit operations leadership experience
  • Demonstrated success owning full profit and loss responsibility, including true bottom-line cost management (labor, inventory, facilities, benefits allocation)
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently between Hawaii and California
  • Comfort operating two distinct business models at once: membership/franchise as the primary focus, resort/hospitality spa as a secondary responsibility
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently between Hawaii and California
NICE TO HAVE
  • Experience in resort or hotel spa operations specifically (a plus, not required)
  • Broader wellness, fitness, or hospitality industry background
  • A people-first leadership style, comfortable with direct feedback and hands‑on coaching
  • Experience building or scaling operations ahead of a company's growth curve
Schedule & Compensation

This is a field-based role requiring regular on-site presence and frequent travel between Hawaii and California. Compensation is $130,000 to$150,000 base salary plus a performance incentive of up to $30,000, for a total target package of $180,000, with no cap on upside for strong performance.

Healthcare and 401k benefits are included, varying by location, along with paid time off starting at 10 days and increasing over time. A structured path to future ownership is available for the right long-term fit, with details shared later in the process. Some relocation assistance may be considered for the right candidate.

About the Opportunity

This is a founder‑led, growing spa business with resort locations across Hawaii and franchise locations in the Sacramento, California market, with more growth ahead. Our guiding purpose is to improve the lives of every person we meet, and that mission shapes a culture built on results, enthusiasm, accountability, connection, and honesty. This is a hands‑on, executive operator seat with direct access to ownership, not a distant corporate role.
