Job Summary

The Vice President, Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) serves as a key executive leader responsible for driving the growth, innovation, operational excellence, and profitability of AMN Healthcare's RPO business. This leader develops and executes strategies that deliver exceptional client outcomes, scalable workforce solutions, and market-leading recruitment capabilities.

The Vice President partners with executive stakeholders, clients, and internal business leaders to design innovative, technology-enabled workforce solutions that address evolving hiring challenges. This role is accountable for strategic planning, operational performance, client satisfaction, financial results, and the development of high-performing teams that consistently deliver measurable value.

The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in healthcare staffing with strong commercial acumen, executive leadership experience, and a passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and client success.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Business Growth

  • Develop and execute the long-term vision, strategy, and growth roadmap for AMN's RPO business.

  • Identify market opportunities, emerging workforce trends, and innovative service offerings that strengthen AMN's competitive position.

  • Partner with executive leadership to establish business objectives, performance measures, and growth initiatives.

  • Champion innovative recruitment technologies, digital sourcing strategies, and talent intelligence solutions to improve recruitment outcomes.

Client Partnership & Executive Engagement

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive client stakeholders by delivering workforce solutions that support organizational objectives.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, business leaders, and industry partners.

  • Lead executive-level workforce planning discussions and talent strategy consultations.

  • Ensure outstanding client satisfaction through proactive communication, strategic guidance, and operational excellence.

Operational Excellence

  • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of scalable recruitment processes, sourcing methodologies, and delivery models.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, quality, productivity, and client value.

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), service level agreements (SLAs), and business outcomes.

  • Ensure consistent execution of best practices across sourcing, recruiting, delivery, and client engagement functions.

Talent Acquisition Innovation

  • Develop enterprise sourcing strategies that attract, engage, and convert top talent across healthcare and professional sectors.

  • Leverage data, analytics, workforce intelligence, and digital marketing techniques to build robust talent pipelines.

  • Evaluate and implement emerging sourcing technologies, automation tools, and recruitment marketing solutions.

  • Promote innovative candidate engagement strategies that enhance employer brand and candidate experience.

Financial & Business Management

  • Own P&L performance, budget management, and financial planning for the RPO business.

  • Drive revenue growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.

  • Assess investment opportunities and make recommendations regarding recruitment technologies, platforms, and strategic partnerships.

  • Utilize business metrics and financial analysis to inform decision-making and prioritize investments.

Talent Leadership

  • Recruit, develop, coach, and retain high-performing leaders and teams.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, inclusion, and continuous learning.

  • Establish succession planning and leadership development initiatives to build organizational capability.

  • Lead geographically dispersed teams while promoting engagement and operational effectiveness.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of progressive leadership experience; OR

  • High School Diploma/GED and 14+ years of progressive leadership experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, or related field.

  • 10+ years of leadership experience in Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO), Talent Acquisition, Workforce Solutions, Staffing, or Healthcare Services.

  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale recruitment operations and complex client relationships.

  • Executive leadership experience with direct responsibility for P&L management and business performance.

  • Proven track record developing and executing strategic growth initiatives.

  • Experience leading distributed teams in high-growth, client-facing environments.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Deep understanding of healthcare workforce dynamics, talent acquisition strategies, and recruitment technologies.

  • Expertise in recruitment marketing, digital sourcing, candidate engagement, and workforce analytics.

Pay Rate$132,000 - $165,000 Salary

Final pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.
