Riverbed is seeking a strategic and visionary Vice President of Product Marketingto lead its global product marketing organization.

Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this executive will define and execute Riverbed's product marketing vision, strengthen the company's leadership position in Unified Observability, and drive market awareness, growth, and competitive differentiation. The VP will oversee market strategy, portfolio positioning, analyst relations, go-to-market execution, customer advocacy, and sales enablement while leading a high-performing global team and partnering closely with Product Management, Sales, Customer Success, Corporate Marketing, and Executive Leadership.

What you will do
  • Define and execute the global product marketing strategy for the Rivebed Platform.
  • Lead portfolio positioning, messaging, and market differentiation to reinforce Riverbed's leadership in observability and digital experience management.
  • Develop and execute global go-to-market strategies for new product launches, portfolio expansions, and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Serve as a visible industry spokesperson and thought leader with customers, analysts, partners, media outlets, and industry events.
  • Drive analyst relations initiatives and strengthen Riverbed's positioning with Gartner, Forrester, IDC, and other key influencers.
  • Build, develop, and lead a high-performing product marketing organization while establishing KPIs aligned with growth and revenue objectives.
  • Partner closely with Product Management, Sales, Demand Generation, Customer Success, Corporate Communications, and Executive Leadership to improve market impact, customer engagement, and sales effectiveness.
What makes you an ideal candidate
  • 15+ years of product marketing or related leadership experience within enterprise software, SaaS, observability, networking, cybersecurity, cloud, or adjacent technology sectors.
  • Proven success leading product marketing organizations at the Senior Director, Vice President, or equivalent executive level.
  • Deep expertise in positioning, messaging, competitive intelligence, product launches, analyst relations, sales enablement, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Strong understanding of observability, AIOps, Digital Experience Management, Network Performance Management, or related enterprise technology markets.
  • Demonstrated success building category leadership, creating market differentiation, and driving measurable business growth.
  • Exceptional executive presence, communication, storytelling, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage customers, analysts, partners, media, and senior executives.
  • Experience building, scaling, and managing high-performing teams, including second-line leadership responsibilities.
