Job description

PCMI is a fast-growing global SaaS company and a market leader in extended warranty, F&I, and service contract administration. Our platform automates the entire product lifecycle for customers worldwide — and we're just getting started. With teams across North America (US & Canada), Europe (Poland), and Asia (India), we're modernizing our architecture, embedding AI across our products, and scaling to meet growing demand. We move fast, we build with purpose, and we're hiring leaders who want to shape what comes next.

What You’ll Do

The VP of Product Management – Core Product is a senior leader responsible for the strategy, planning, execution, and outcomes of the company’s Core Product domain. Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, this role leads a product management organization responsible for identifying market opportunities, defining strategic direction, and delivering differentiated customer value that drives revenue growth, retention, and platform scalability. As a key partner to the executive team, the VP of Product Management plays a significant role in shaping company strategy, translating business objectives into product investments, and ensuring disciplined execution from discovery through go‑to‑market. This role owns product governance, portfolio decision‑making, and the operating model required to sustainably deliver business results through the Core Product.

In this role, you will:
  • Own product strategy, roadmap, and investment priorities for the Core Product domain
  • Leads and scales a product management organization, not just individual contributors

  • Serves as a strategic partner to Engineering, Architecture, Sales, Marketing, and Operations
  • Acts as the primary executive voice of the customer for the Core Product
  • Build, lead, and develop a high‑performing product management organization aligned to company objectives
  • Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and career paths for product leaders and managers
  • Set expectations for strong product discovery, customer validation, and outcome‑based delivery
  • Implement and evolve product operating rhythms to support planning, delivery, and measurement
  • Ensure continuous customer engagement to validate strategy and execution
  • Partner with Product Managers, Sales and Customer Success to test assumptions, pricing, packaging, and willingness‑to‑pay
  • Use qualitative and quantitative insights to refine strategy and roadmap
  • Partner cross‑functionally to ensure go‑to‑market readiness and adoption
  • Own the product side of launch planning, enablement, and success measurement
  • Ensure product value is realized by customers and reflected in business result
  • Recruits, hires, and develops product leaders and individual contributors
  • Sets performance expectations tied to outcomes, not activity
  • Coaches leaders to scale impact across teams and initiatives
What You’ll Need to Join Our Team
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 7–10+ years in product leadership roles within SaaS or platform‑based businesses
  • Demonstrated experience owning product strategy and outcomes, not just delivery
  • Proven ability to lead through complex, cross‑functional environments
  • Domain expertise in automotive, warranty, or aftermarket services strongly preferred
  • Experience with industry methodology like Scaled Agile Framework or Pragmatic marketing, preferred.
  • Knowledge of Atlassian products Jira and Confluence.
  • Must be able to travel to Chicago, IL office and clients, up to 25%.
Why Work For Us
  • Competitive Compensation from $235,000 $245,000
  • Health Savings Account (HSA)
