Job description

Position Summary
As a member of the professional staff, contributes a high level of specialized knowledge and skill in a discipline (e.g. Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Operations Planning & Support, Sales & Marketing) area to support department and/or function objectives. Generally works with considerable independence, developing operating plans and related operational processes for own department and monitoring the flow of work between own department and others in alignment with broader business objectives. Selecting and developing effective managers and work teams and managing own organization through reliable systems and processes.
The Vice President (VP), Field Marketing Operations - Vacation Ownership, Marketing is responsible for overseeing all Field Marketing Operations across multiple sites for the South Florida region of MVW's Vacation Ownership (VO).
This position will be responsible for strategizing, ensuring best practices and maximizing revenue in all facets of marketing operations and marketing channels. The VP will work closely with the South Florida RVP's, Regional, Divisional and Corporate leaders on program enhancements to maximize revenue and referral business. In addition, this role will ensure all projects and programs are processed through legal and brand review for compliance.
Expected Contributions
Develops operating plans and workable business processes for sites in alignment with function strategy.
Manages larger business processes and/or projects, setting priorities and measurable objectives, monitoring and reporting on the process, progress and results. Typically influences work of cross-functional or extended teams.
Responds to, solves and makes decisions on business requests that have broader department impact and/or moderate risk. Presents alternative solutions to business issues by leveraging the broader organization.
Works to enhance the organization's capabilities through effective staffing and development of others by:
  • anticipating staffing requirements by comparing business needs with strengths and weaknesses of existing staff
  • using appropriate MVW interviewing tools to hire the best managers available from inside or outside.

Expected Contributions
Field Marketing Operations
Establish enterprise strategies, standards and best practices in all facets of field marketing operations to drive cost effective tour flow to maximize timeshare revenue.
Partner with South Florida RVP and Directors to maximize tours and volume for all brands.
New Program Development and maximization of current programs.
Maintain and bridge the relationship between respective sites and corporate.
Communicate with Division VP's as to their business needs.
Manage issues and recommend improvement adjustments to budget.
Create new cost-effective business
Channel Analytics
Analyze channel performance by site and recommend adjustments as to process improvement, lead/tour qualifications and changes in personnel
Legal Compliance of marketing programs
Assist with the CAF process to ensure programs are legally compliant.
Ensure projects are processed through legal and brand review
Assure PCI, PII handling, DNC, other standards are being upheld at site level
Manage the Marketing Program Request process; approve for implementation
Best Practices
Communicate and implement consistent processes across the sites as it relates to technology, tools, compensation, training, reporting, performance management and all other facets of Marketing
Organize and lead Marketing meetings/calls with Division VP's, Regional VP's and DOM's
Encore & Universal Encore Channel
• Responsible for driving company encore and universal encore strategy to maximize revenue from these channels
• Develop annual NET Efficiency and package targets for sites in conjunction with 5-year LRP
• Continue to drive NET Efficiency and Process Improvements through best practices, encore rep compensation and performance management
• Develop processes, execution, management, and support of the MVC Encore Program
• Research and analysis of potential new Encore opportunities.
• Building relationships with key Regional and Site stakeholders to execute new and existing Encore programs
• Drive Owner Enrollments through Encore package sales
Friendshare/Referral
• Responsible for the development and the management of the company's FriendShare
program
- Work with Product Development and the Field on program enhancements to maximize
referral business through Friendshare.
• Responsible for driving referral business through lead generation and site/call center referral programs
- Work directly with the Call Center to create new programs to drive referrals leads.
- Implement and maximize across all sites Point of Sale Bring a Friend program.
- Create programs to drive FriendShare leads to Website.
- Create and implement Referral Lead Generation programs.
Events and Roadshows
• Responsible for management and marketing of Events and Roadshows in designated area.
- Allocation of leads to regions/sites to maximize overall enterprise performance
- Manage website, marketing, and legal compliance of these programs.
- Innovate new experiences to expand Events program.
Site Bouncebacks & Universal Bouncebacks
• Responsible for driving company site and universal Bounceback strategy to maximize
revenue from these channels.
• Monitor and revise program as needed to maximize package sales for the enterprise.
• Develop annual package targets for sites in conjunction with 5-year LRP.
Place Pass/Activities Coordination
• Activities Business growth strategy to maximize owner/renter capture rate.
• Create cost effective/profitable MVW activities model.
• Create and manage policies, best practices, etc.
Other
• Integration of MVW Best Practices across the enterprise.
• Assess and/or develop new reports for leadership use to help manage business.
• Marketing Stakeholder for Marketing I.T. Needs - work with Marketing Systems VP to
ensure functionality for CRM systems, In House tools such as renter rebate, renter activator, last night free, i-ticket, activities, etc.
Package Sale Growth
Responsible for creating Project Life Summaries for new projects
Work with DOM's to develop 5-year marketing plan by channel for new or proposed projects
Monthly BUVAR critiques
Prepare, present and participate in all monthly BUVAR's.
Site Visits
Travel to each supported site as needed.
Candidate Profile
Successful candidates should possess knowledge and experience and demonstrate strong leadership and relationship skills as follows:
Generally, a professional position requiring significant knowledge and experience in one or
more disciplines and/or business operations as well as associate management experience.
College degree and/or relevant experience generally required.
Education
Four-year college degree or equivalent work experience.
Experience
Proven leader with more than 10 years' successful management and leadership experience in Vacation Ownership.
Industry expert in running Exit programs.
Skills/Attributes
Demonstrated strong understanding of marketing techniques and revenue generating strategies.
Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work with people at many levels and establish trust necessary to influence and drive business decisions.
Strong financial acumen with demonstrated P & L and capital expenditures accountability. Strong business acumen, strategic thought process and sound judgement required
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage company and departmental budgets.
