We are looking for an exceptional experienced employment attorney to join our team as Vice President, Employment Counsel. This is an in-office position (5 days a week) based in New York City. The position reports to the Executive Vice President & General Counsel of FOX News Media but will also work closely with the Senior Vice President and Associate General Counsel of Labor and Employment for Fox Corporation.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide day-to-day legal advice and counseling to FOX News Media's Executive Vice President and General Counsel and to the company's Human Resources professionals and senior executives on all aspects of employment law

  • Working with the General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel of FOX News Media, oversee outside counsel and manage all aspects of employment litigation and administrative proceedings filed against FOX News Media in New York and other states where such proceedings occur

  • Conduct and synthesize legal research regarding employment law and related issues

  • Create and/or support the development and delivery of employment-related trainings

  • Prepare and review employment-related documents

  • Periodically draft and/or review commercial contracts and vendor agreements, including non-employment related agreements

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • JDwith 6-8 years of employment litigation and counseling experience, preferably with a national law firm and/or in-house at a public company

  • New York Bar admission and an active Bar membership

  • Ability to formulate and execute litigation strategy

  • Ability to work independently and also collaboratively in team settings as needed

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and matters simultaneously

  • Significant experience advising and counseling in-house clients, including senior executives, on all aspects of employment law

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent judgment and a high level of self-direction

  • Ability to report to work in the company's New York City offices daily (i.e., this is not a remote or hybrid position)

Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
