Job Overview
The VP of Data & Analytics is the senior leader responsible for AGS's entire data strategy, data
platform, and analytical capabilities. This role is responsible for end-to-end data ownership across game development analytics (game performance, player telemetry) and internal business functions (FP&A, operations reporting, commercial analytics). The VP of Data & Analytics will also ensure the same metrics and reporting is used across different functions and is a critical enabler of the agentic AI program, as every AI initiative depends on the clean, reliable data infrastructure this role builds and governs.
Responsibilities
  • Own AGS's data strategy end-to-end - data sourcing, data platform architecture, dataproducts, data governance, and data quality across all functions
  • Own the data warehouse architecture - OneLake/Microsoft Fabric implementation, ingestion pipelines from ERP, CRM, game cabinets, and iGaming platforms
  • Bridge game development and internal functions - ensure game analytics (telemetry, performance data, player behavior) and internal analytics (FP&A, ops, sales reporting) are served by a unified data platform
  • Define and enforce data governance standards - data ownership, data classification, dataquality SLAs, lineage documentation, and access controls
  • Build data products - operator-facing performance dashboards, executive scorecards, game analytics products that serve game designers and commercial teams
  • Drive the telemetry strategy - ensure cabinet telemetry data flows from AGS's deployed fleet into the data platform to enable predictive maintenance and yield management
  • Support the agentic AI program - ensure data infrastructure is sequenced and delivered to unblock ML model development and AI agent deployment
  • Manage vendor relationships - Microsoft Fabric, data tooling providers, and analytics platform vendors
  • Establish data literacy across the organization - training and enabling business users to access and use data through self-serve analytics tools like PowerBI

Skills/Requirements
  • 10+ years of progressive data and analytics leadership, with at least 3 years in a VP, Senior
  • Director, or Head of Data role
  • Proven data platform build experience - has built or significantly transformed a data warehouse, data lake, or lakehouse from the ground up at a company of comparable scale
  • Microsoft Fabric / Azure Data Stack expertise preferred - familiarity with OneLake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and Power BI
  • Strong data engineering foundations - deep enough technical understanding to review architecture decisions, evaluate engineering quality, and hire and develop data engineers
  • Data governance expertise - experience implementing MDM, data cataloging (Purview, Collibra, or equivalent), and data quality frameworks
  • Cross-functional stakeholder management - has served both technical teams (game developers, ML engineers) and business stakeholders (CFO, VP Sales) with data products
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field

Preferred
  • Gaming or B2B manufacturing industry experience
  • Familiarity with SAS protocol and casino management system data structures
