Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union is currently searching for an experienced and talented Assistant Vice President - Enterprise Architecture to join our amazing Enterprise Data and Intelligence team!

The Assistant Vice President - Enterprise Architecture will have the ability to work a hybrid schedule (remote/onsite) after a period of training (time frame may vary). Training will take place at the RBFCU Administrative Service Center: 1 Ikea-RBFCU Pkwy, Live Oak, Texas 78233.

All applicants must reside within the state of Texas and have the capability of performing all of the work from their home in Texas.

To successfully work from home, employees must have access to a minimum internet connection as noted by RBFCU.


Must have a reliable home internet provider and the ability to hard wire a connection directly to modem (Ethernet cable provided).
Must be able to provide a workspaces at home that is safe, suitable for work, and within a distraction free environment

The Assistant Vice President, Enterprise Architecture is responsible for establishing and leading RBFCU's enterprise architecture capability. This role aligns business outcomes to technology execution, connects strategy and delivery, and ensures that technology and data investments advance enterprise priorities.

The AVP builds the architectural operating model, documentation standards, and cross-functional partnerships required to eliminate data and system friction, enable modernization and AI by design, standardize without slowing innovation, and embed security and compliance from inception.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Establish and lead the enterprise architecture function, including operating model design, governance processes, architectural standards, and documentation frameworks across business, application, data, integration, and infrastructure domains

  • Align business strategy to technology execution by partnering with executive leadership, product teams, and IT to ensure initiatives are sequenced, rationalized, and connected to enterprise outcomes

  • Develop and maintain current state and target state enterprise architecture artifacts that provide transparency, reduce duplication, and guide long-term investment decisions

  • Eliminate data and system friction by rationalizing platforms, integration patterns, and architectural decisions to reduce technical debt and improve scalability

  • Enable analytics, AI, digital transformation, and modernization initiatives by embedding architectural guardrails that promote reuse, scalability, and long-term flexibility

  • Standardize technology and integration practices without slowing innovation by defining clear enterprise principles, patterns, and decision rights

  • Embed security, privacy, risk, and regulatory considerations into architecture from day one in partnership with Information Security, Risk, and Legal

  • Establish prioritization, sizing, and sequencing frameworks that create a shared enterprise language for resource planning and initiative execution

  • Build strong cross-functional relationships across business and technology functions to ensure architecture operates as a collaborative enablement capability rather than a gatekeeping function

  • Serve as the enterprise authority on architectural integrity, modernization strategy, platform rationalization, and M&A integration support

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Minimum five years of job-related work experience

  • Minimum five years of leadership experience

  • Demonstrated experience establishing or maturing an enterprise architecture capability

  • Proven ability to align business strategy with technology and delivery execution

  • Experience documenting current and target state architectures across multiple domains

  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture, integration patterns, application portfolio rationalization, and data architecture principles

  • Experience operating in regulated environments with embedded compliance and security considerations

  • Demonstrated executive presence and ability to influence senior stakeholders

  • Experience supporting large-scale modernization efforts or enterprise transformations

  • Familiarity with enterprise technology, data, and analytics platforms

  • Ability to build enterprise capability from foundational stages

  • Strong executive communication skills with ability to translate complex technical concepts into business outcomes

  • Deep understanding of enterprise architecture principles across business, data, application, integration, and infrastructure domains

  • Ability to create architectural guardrails that balance standardization and agility

  • Strong systems thinking and analytical capability

  • Experience facilitating cross-functional workshops and architectural review processes

  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to build trust across business and technology teams

  • Understanding of analytics and AI enablement patterns within enterprise environments

  • Ability to operate in ambiguity and build structure where none currently exists

Preferred:

  • Graduation from accredited college/university with Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Services, Information Assurance, Engineering, Business, or related field

  • Experience contributing to M&A due diligence or integration efforts

  • Familiarity with adaptive architecture frameworks; knowledge of TOGAF or similar frameworks
