Job description

Kelly Services is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented individual to join the elections office as a Sorter Assistant.ย  In this vital role, you will support the administrative processing of voter information within the Florida registration system and additional in-house software applications. Your primary focus will be handling vote-by-mail (VBM) requests and the sorting, processing, and tracking of returned vote-by-mail ballots.
Pay- $15.50/hour will increase in Oct
Schedule- Mon-Friday 8am-5pm Plus OT
Start date- July 6th
End date- Nov 13th
Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately process voter information into the Florida Voter Registration System and other election-related software platforms.
  • Prep, sort, and run returned ballots and undeliverable mail through the mail sorting machine.
  • Assist with the intake, fulfillment, and processing of vote-by-mail requests.
  • Support signature research and verification efforts as needed for VBM ballots.
  • Assist with daily outgoing mail tasks, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Participate in ongoing voter outreach projects and other clerical office assignments.
  • Maintain high standards of confidentiality, security, and accuracy with all voter information.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior office or clerical experience preferred (mailroom experience a plus).
  • Strong computer proficiency, especially with data entry and database management.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy is a must.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., Lift overhead and stand for extended periods as needed.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a diverse team.
