Amp Up is a high energy, high volume action park at 13901 Manchester Road in West County St. Louis. Amp Up offers a variety of attractions to appeal to all ages, including go karts, laser tag, ropes course, axe throwing and interactive gaming.


JOB DESCRIPTION

We're seeking awesome part-time crew members who are dedicated to creating an amazing experience for each guest. Our Activity Attendants oversee our core entertainment options and may be permanently assigned a specific activity or rotate between racing, ropes, laser tag, games, axe throwing and the bar/cafe. Activity Attendants have an important role to play at Amp Up. By interacting directly with guests, you can significantly impact the overall guest experience. Activity Attendants should be outgoing, approachable and respectful in an effort to make guests feel welcomed. Friendly verbal and nonverbal communication is essential. At Amp Up, we're seeking employees who will take the job very seriously - yet share the fun and enthusiasm of each and every guest. We measure our success with ear-to-ear smiles.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Welcome guests, review safety rules and offer instruction as needed or when requested
  • Perform all opening, mid-day or closing preparation, cleaning and maintenance duties according to the requirements of the shift assigned
  • Provide information about facilities, entertainment options, rules and regulations; Answer guest questions and make recommendations as necessary
  • Monitor event activities to ensure continuous adherence to rules and safety procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness of the park, tables, restrooms and parking lot on an ongoing basis
  • Troubleshoot, identify and handle any equipment malfunctions
  • Attend all scheduled meetings
  • Assist guests with questions regarding the purchase of, account summary or activity summary of their game card
  • Report wear, damage or equipment performance problems to management
  • Assist with restocking kitchen, bar and redemption area as needed
  • May perform minor repairs on games, equipment and laser tag vests as directed by management
  • Perform other duties as assigned and/or directed by management

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be a minimum of 16 years of age
  • Reliable and on-time for all shifts
  • Possess and maintain a current knowledge of the facility and activities; including the services and products for customer purchase
  • Ability to operate computer, cash register and credit card verification equipment
  • Good communication and reading skills
  • Attention to detail, strong organizational ability; ability to work under pressure amid distractions and interruptions
  • Possess good customer relations abilities, outgoing and friendly manner, courteous and cooperative attitude, team oriented
  • Previous experience with public interaction (paid or volunteer) is preferred
  • Well-groomed and neat appearance
  • Ability to meet physical demands of walking or standing for 100% of the assigned shift
