Card Services Specialist I

Stock Yards Bancorp, Inc. (NASDAQ: SYBT), parent company of Stock Yards Bank & Trust Company, with offices in Louisville, Central, Eastern and Northern Kentucky, as well as the Indianapolis, Indiana and Cincinnati, Ohio metropolitan markets.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Department: Card Services

Hours of Operation: 40 Hours per Week

General Job Summary: Provide clerical processing and customer service support for cards.

Organizational Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the mission, vision and philosophy of the Bank. Complies willingly with all organizational policies and procedures.
  • Support all functions that maintain compliance with regulatory agencies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming phone calls from internal and external clients
  • Monitor email inboxes, respond to requests via Outlook and phone
  • Setup new accounts, perform maintenance, produce and mail plastics - utilizing software and equipment for instant issuance of cards
  • Maintain and monitor card stock
  • Process credit card payments
  • Balance and reconcile General Ledger accounts
  • Audit fraud disputes and track Bank losses
  • Research and analyze card functionality for clients โ€“ address concerns and articulate issues/solutions
  • Other Functions (as needed):
  • Maintain procedural updates related to Cards (as needed)
  • Special projects as required

Working Conditions:

All job functions are performed daily at employee's workspace using various computer applications and printers.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Education: High School diploma or GED

Experience: 1 year of banking experience preferred

Specific Skills:

  • Ability to communicate complicated ideas simply - in writing or verbally
  • Proficient problem-solving skills
  • Maintains appropriate risk exposure for Bank
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Self-motivated, dependable, detail-oriented, and eagerness to learn

Specialized:

Operational knowledge of cards and software associated with production and maintenance of them

Physical Requirements:

  • Primarily sedentary work performed in an office environment
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time while working at a computer
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment
  • Ability to speak clearly and hear well enough to communicate with clients, team members, and vendors via phone, video, and in person
  • Visual acuity sufficient to read computer screens, printed documents, and financial data
  • Occasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 10โ€“15 pounds occasionally (e.g., files, office supplies)
