Job description

Are you an experienced and safety-driven driver looking for a stable career with great benefits and a supportive team? We’re hiring a Commercial Driver to join our solid waste and recycling collection operations. In this role, you’ll help keep our community clean by safely collecting and transporting waste along established routes—all while providing exceptional service to our customers.

What You’ll Do
  • Operate a commercial garbage truck on assigned routes to collect solid waste and recyclables
  • Collect materials both mechanically and manually
  • Transport waste to designated disposal facilities
  • Provide courteous and professional service to customers
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safety standards
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
  • Communicate regularly with dispatch, supervisors, and other drivers
  • Help with special projects, including community events and cleanups
  • Respond quickly and professionally to service issues or customer concerns
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent industrial lifting, including lifting waste to waist level
  • Constant walking and steady movement throughout the shift
  • Occasional bending, gripping, and physical exertion
  • Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience operating a Class A or Class B vehicle with air brakes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent customer service and people skills
  • Solid Waste industry experience preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of DOT rules and safety practices is a plus
  • High commitment to working safely and following procedures
Experience & Education
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid Class A or B CDL with Air Brake Endorsement
  • Clean driving record
  • Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience
