POSITION: Head Softball Coach
DATE REQUIRED: Beginning with the spring 2027 season
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE DESIRED:
  • Previous coaching experience preferred
  • All coaches, whether volunteer or paid, must meet requirements set forth by the IHSA as well as Hononegah #207, including, but not limited to:
    • Background Check
    • ISBE PEL, ASEP, or NFHS Coaching Certificate
    • Pass all required the IHSA tests (PES test, concussion test)
    • Become CPR-certified

STARTING LEVEL & STIPEND: Level C, $5,665 (or higher depending on high school level experience)

SELECTION PROCESS (ASSISTANT COACH/ACTIVITY ADVISOR): The athletic director/building administrator will review applications and arrange all interviews. Internal applicants will be granted an interview per the Hononegah Education Association CBA. Any coach hired may begin coaching duties AFTER District Office approval (at which time AD/administration will be notified).
