Volunteer Owner Representative Jobs (NOW HIRING)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Volunteer Manager – Partnerships and Outreach focusing on Young Adult Engagement is responsible for all AmeriCorps, Interns, youth, and young adult volunteer programming. This includes recruitment, onboarding, management, training, recognition, and retention. This position is also responsible for specific volunteer engagement outreach campaigns. The position works as a part of the People and Culture Team to grow the volunteer programs in support of overall volunteer engagement at Habitat Metro Denver. The Volunteer Manager also works closely with Construction and ReStore departments to identify opportunities and create a positive and productive environment for volunteers.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: 

AmeriCorps and IJGD German Volunteer Host Site Management

• This position will oversee all elements of the AmeriCorps program for the organization.
  • Work collaboratively with AmeriCorps supervisors and program managers to identify opportunities to host AmeriCorps members and support members throughout their term of service.
  • Work with Habitat for Humanity International to apply to host AmeriCorps members and implement all AmeriCorps program requirements, including quarterly reporting.
  • Plan for and perform recruitment for AmeriCorps members, including reviewing candidates, interviewing and MVR & reference checks.
  • Provide regular communication and updates for current and prospective AmeriCorps members.
  • Coordinate and implement AmeriCorps orientation and ongoing training.
  • Provide ongoing support and mentorship for AmeriCorps members.
  • Conduct semi-annual reviews for AmeriCorps members.
  • Organize recognition events and regular appreciation for AmeriCorps members.
• This position will oversee all elements of the IJGD German Volunteer program for the organization.
  • Work collaboratively with IJGD supervisors and program managers to identify opportunities to host and support members throughout their term of service.
  • Maintain regular communication with IJGD German Volunteer organization.
  • Review and interview IJGD candidates.
  • Coordinate and implement IJGD orientation and ongoing training.
  • Provide ongoing support and mentorship for IJGD members.
  • Conduct semi-annual reviews for IJGD members.
  • Organize recognition events and regular appreciation for IJGD members.
• Serve as main point of contact for affiliate-owned AmeriCorps & IJGD housing.
• Manage the AmeriCorps National Community Civilian Corps (NCCC) teams during certain times of year, as applicable, including application, orientation, support, appreciation, and securing housing.

Youth and Young Adult programming

• Organize, manage, and evaluate the ReStore Summer Internship Program.
• Manage, support, and recruit for paid and unpaid internship opportunities.
• Work with Volunteer Team to host out-of-town Collegiate Challenge and Alternative Break volunteer groups.
• Serve as main point of contact for high school and college volunteers.
• Manage and develop strategic partnerships with organizations that provide hands-on skills training through volunteering with Habitat.

Outreach & Engagement

• Develop and maintain partnerships with organizations and schools to create and support long-term volunteer placements with Habitat
• Utilize data to develop and implement volunteer outreach and recruitment campaigns (Winter Warriors, Explore the Core, Hats Off for Home Repair, etc.)
• Maintain online presence of all volunteer opportunities.
• Work with Marketing Team to coordinate e-mail marketing and social media efforts.
• Represent Habitat Metro Denver at Volunteer Fairs within the community.
• Support Volunteer Team for department-wide events.

Leadership

• Demonstrate energy and passion for Habitat’s mission and Cultural Blueprint values in all aspects of the position.
• Work to advance the Service Enterprise Initiative, a national change-management and capacity-building program that is transforming the way we engage volunteers to better meet our mission.
• Support the Director of Volunteer Engagement in training staff on volunteer engagement best practices.
• Enhance the organization’s culture by reinforcing core values and fostering a positive work environment.
• Recruit and supervise volunteer support, as needed.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS NECESSARY TO PERFORM THIS JOB:

• Most work is performed indoors at a desk in a shared office or meeting setting, with the ability to work remotely at times.
• Ability to talk on the phone and work at a computer for extended periods of time.
• Hybrid work model - minimum 2 days/week at a Habitat location (Tuesday, Wednesday, and/or Thursday), with ability to work from home the other days) During the first 6-9 months of employment additional days in the office will be required to learn the role, build critical interdepartmental connections, and strengthen the development team’s vision, strategy, and cohesiveness.
• Ability to travel to and from meetings / appointments at various Habitat retail and construction site locations at times when public transportation can be challenging. 
• Ability to adequately traverse a residential construction job site (uneven grade / surfaces). 
• Some work outside of traditional office hours (evenings and weekends) will be required to attend meetings, events, etc. 

• Valid driver’s license and ability to be insured under the company’s insurance policy is prerequisite; driving is required. A Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) will be run for insurance purposes.
• Able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

• Comfortable driving a company van shuttling team members to various locations & events.
• Habitat’s office where this position will report to is 430 S Navajo St, Denver, CO 80223.

The Starting Salary Range for this position is $59,700 - $69,800, with offers typically between the minimum to midpoint of the starting pay range posted depending on qualifications, internal equity and the budgeted amount for the role.

EXPERIENCE:

• 3-5 years experience in the field of volunteer management or equivalent combination of experience, education and training.
• Certificate in Volunteer Administration is preferred.
• Personal volunteer experience.
• Experience with long-term National or International Service programs (AmeriCorps or Peace Corps), preferred.
• Experience with presentation and meeting facilitation with small, medium, to large groups.
• Experience with CRM / scheduling systems / database software
• Experience with VolunteerHub, Raiser’s Edge and Monday.com, a plus. 
• Proficiency in Microsoft office programs (MS Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint) and able to learn as needs of job and available technologies evolve.
• A bachelor’s degree could be beneficial in this role.
