Job description

Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton is looking for a part-time Director of Volunteers!

Summary:

Responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing ACRโ€™s volunteer program to enhance the quality of life for residents while supporting ACRโ€™s mission and regulatory requirements. Assists in creating an awareness and understanding of the service of ACR in the community via positive marketing and recruitment of volunteers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Recruit volunteers through community outreach, serving as a primary contact for volunteer inquiries
  • Conduct volunteer interviews, reference checks, and background screenings when required
  • Develop volunteer policies, updating them as needed
  • Conduct volunteer orientations and educational trainings; serving as the primary contact for all volunteers
  • Match volunteers with assignments based on their interests, skills, and the needs of residents
  • Collaborate with other departments to develop volunteer schedules and ensure appropriate coverage for activities, appointments and special events
  • Monitor volunteer performance and provide coaching, guidance, and corrective action when necessary
  • Plan and coordinate volunteer appreciation events
  • Maintain records and prepare reports on volunteer participation, hours, and program effectiveness
  • Assist with organizing fundraising projects for the special needs of residents
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Reports to:

Director of Social Services

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associateโ€™s or Bachelorโ€™s degree in Human Services, Communications, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred
  • Previous experience coordinating volunteers, community outreach, activities, customer service, or healthcare preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to recruit, motivate, and supervise volunteers of all ages
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office preferred
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Driverโ€™s license with no more than three minor violations or one major violation during the previous 36 months
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the workday
  • Ability to travel throughout the facility and attend community events
  • Visual acuity and hearing sufficient to communicate effectively with residents, volunteers, and staff
  • Must have the ability to work approximately 16 hours/week, primarily first shift, with the availability to vary your schedule based on business need.
