Job description

Job Description:
Wastequip is looking to hire a Customer Service Specialist (CSS) to our Lithia Springs, GA team. The Customer Service Specialist plays a crucial role in fostering positive customer relationships and ensuring seamless order management for the Toter Plastics division. Serving as the primary point of contact for customers, this role partners closely with the sales team to exceed customer expectations. The Customer Service Specialist is responsible for product support, order management, and representing the company in a professional manner to build and maintain strong, long-term customer relation.
1st shift: 6:00AM to 4:00PM.
Pay range: $26 to $27 (Based on experience)
Job Details
Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond promptly and effectively to all customer inquiries, including price quotations, order processing, change requests, warranty claims, and status updates.
  • Troubleshoot customer issues by reviewing past inquiries, researching information, and collaborating with internal departments to find solutions.
  • Develop accurate and timely quotations based on the sales strategy and customer information, using the quoting system.
  • Maintain and update records for active orders, posting changes and managing scheduling adjustments.
  • Act as the main point of contact between customers and internal departments for assigned projects related to text and graphic materials.
  • Obtain necessary documentation for order entry, including coordinating with production planning, transportation, and keeping customers informed about shipment details.
  • Provide accurate freight quotes for shipments, coordinating with the transportation team and the sales team as needed.
  • Assist the credit and accounting department with managing customer accounts, including order entries, credit limits, and holds.
  • Resolve product or service issues by addressing customer complaints, determining the root cause, and identifying solutions, while documenting all cases in Salesforce.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned to support customer satisfaction and team goals.

Requirements:
Education and Experience
  • High school or equivalent required.
  • Completion of an associate degree is preferred.
  • 2-3 years of previous sales/customer service experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products and ERP systems.

Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required
  • Must be able to maintain accurate records and perform basic mathematical operations.
  • Must be able to operate a personal or laptop computer, with emphasis on accurate 10-Key numeric typing.
  • Must be mechanically inclined.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be able to multi-task and function effectively in a shared office/call center setting.
  • Must be able to speak, write and read English fluently; the ability to speak, write and read Spanish fluently is a plus.
  • Must be able to assist in the warehouse from time to time.
