Job description


Are you passionate about supporting volunteers and delivering impactful learning experiences? Do you excel at coordinating training, managing systems, and building strong relationships? If so, we'd love to connect with you.
As a Volunteer Experience Specialist, you'll play a key role in recruiting, training, and retaining the incredible volunteer trainers who deliver Girl Scouts programming across San Diego. Partnering with the Volunteer Experience Manager, you'll ensure a seamless, high-quality journey for volunteers-from onboarding and screening to ongoing engagement.
What You'll Do:
  • Develop and maintain engaging training frameworks aligned with local and national standards
  • Coordinate trainer schedules, course logistics, communications, and resources
  • Administer volunteer screening processes (background checks, fingerprinting, status tracking)
  • Manage training calendars, registration systems, LMS platforms, and CRM updates
  • Analyze engagement data to enhance programs and processes
  • Partner with Marketing to promote course offerings
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for trainers and participants
  • Support conferences, events, and outdoor skills programs

Experience and Skills
What You Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in communications, adult education, training & development, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience developing, coordinating, or facilitating training programs
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional best practices
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, LMS, CRM, or project management systems
  • Flexibility to work evenings/weekends as needed and occasional travel
  • Belief in the mission and values of Girl Scouting and will support the Girl Scout Promise

The salary range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00, DOE
