The main difference lies in credentials, employment status, and scope of responsibilities.

What can I do with a Volunteer CRCST certification?

A Volunteer CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) certification qualifies individuals to assist in sterilizing and managing surgical instruments and medical equipment in healthcare settings. It demonstrates knowledge of infection control, sterilization procedures, and equipment handling, which can support roles in central sterile processing departments or volunteer positions in healthcare facilities. The certification enhances skills in maintaining a sterile environment and adhering to safety standards.
